baby socks - cut the elastic or not?

Postby nerdynerd » Sun May 28, 2023 9:39 pm

I'm planning for my surgery scheduled for later this year and, thanks to the FT brothers, know about baby socks. I read that at least one member cut the elastic. Did most of you who used baby socks also do that?

That was probably me who wrote that.

Cut the elastic. It’ll fit your glans like a little knit cap.

Of course, you could just try it with the elastic intact and see if you prefer that.

I tried both ways, i cut the elastic on some and left it on for the rest. Both were fine, lounging around the house i used the cut ones, for work i used the elastic. The elastic cut ones would fall off at work.

I cut the elastic that goes to the base, I also made 2 small cuts to make it fit well, and then I cut the tip which is much more comfortable otherwise it slips off with the movements, I still wear them now that they are over 4.5 months, I'm not short and now that my glans is always out it bothers me when it rubs

Before I heard of the baby socks I was making, what I'll call , a " Cock pocket ." I'd buy the " just for men " guards and fold them in half and tape each side . Same concept as the baby socks with the added benefit of drip absorption. I was leaking like a MF after surgery !

children's socks must be in soft terry, it is also excellent as a drip
