Prostate Artery Embolization

Postby rosnekacj » Sun Jun 25, 2023 5:16 pm

Six months ago I had a PAE procedure (prostate artery embolization). This is supposed to limit blood flow to the prostate causing it to shrink thereby improving urine flow. A side effect I've noticed is reduced seman production to the point I only produce a few drops upon orgasm.

Thanks for the observation. Dr. Keith Roach, a newspaper columnist, recently said that this is a less-risky approach for enlarged prostate than surgery, because it shouldn't produce blood clots.

If you're 88, you're doing ok - I'm ten years younger and can only produce a few drops!
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

UPDATE: It has now been 1 1/2 years since the procedure. Semen production is now only a drop or 2. It is considerably less than before the procedure. Doctor claims that he has never had that complaint. Research shows that 10% of patients experience this.
