31 year old's New Member - Titan with Dr. Clavell - Journal

I am a 31 year old male living in Texas and have my surgery scheduled for August with Dr. Clavell. I'm excited, very nervous and scared, but I know this is going to be the best decision for my long-term happiness. I have dealt with ED for the last decade and it's only worsened year after year. Viagra/cialis gives me shitty side effects (without guarantee of getting hard) that I'm so ready to not have to deal with any longer. There's a lot of different causes that might be contributing to my ED, 1) two herniated discs from a lower back injury a decade ago, 2) psychiatric meds I'm taking for the last 7 years, 3) finasteride for the last 5 years, 4) sleeping pills I take every night to sleep and waking without any morning wood.

I have the same stories as I'm sure a lot of people here have had. The dreaded "is it going to work tonight" even after taking pills. In back-to-back weekends, I went home with 2 different girls (one inside her car, the other to her fancy apartment) and neither time did my penis even move the slightest. They were frustrated, I was frustrated. I was too embarrassed to explain my situation either and left what happened unsaid.

I'm younger than a lot of posters on this forum and I'm most fearful of the number of revisions I may need in the future going into later age. But, tomorrow isn't guaranteed, so why not have my dick working while I'm in my physical prime? I'm a big believer in self-improvement in all areas (mental, physical attractiveness, fitness) and sexual health is included in those goals.

I've had surgery with Dr. Clavell a few years ago (unrelated, for scrotal webbing removal). I wasn't even aware of implants back then. He's by far one of my favorite surgeons I've seen to so deciding to do this surgery with him was an easy decision (it also helps that his office is close to me and my insurance covers this surgery).

Thank you all for the enormous repository of information on these forums about implants. I wouldn't have been able to make a huge decision like this without reading through many threads here. I hope to contribute in the same way with my experience for others in the future!

That’s the worst part, isn’t it? During the whole date and buildup to sex your mind isn’t on having fun. It’s focused on the anxiety of “am I going to get and stay hard”.

I suffered on and off for years with ED and had success with viagra for a while. Then bimix and eventually trimix when bimix stopped working. Then it all stopped working.

With the implant it’s a sure thing every time. For as long as you want. You can enjoy all the time leading up to sex without worrying about timing pills or giving yourself a shot.

I was anxious about it. My journey was a worse case scenario. I became infected (I was in the unlucky.4%) with the original inflatable. I had to get a malleable to replace the inflatable and eventually had Dr Hakky in Atlanta put another Titan inflatable in 6/13. I’m excited to start cycling and get back to it.

The decision for an implant and the whole process is tough, but boy was it worth it for me.

Speaking as a finasteride victim and a young guy who just got implanted three weeks ago. I can understand your situation very much and I can already tell that the surgery was absolutely worth it. Well at least f I don't catch an infection in the next couple of weeks (fingers crossed). Overall I am surprised how quickly I got used to the implant. It already feels like a part of my body and apart from the cycling session I don't think of the implant. It just feels great. It is great to know that I am fully functional again, no more excuses to avoid sex because I can't get it up. The monkey on my back is gone.

Dr. Clavell implanted me in April of this year . Great surgeon, even better dude. He'll give you his phone # before surgery so if you have any questions you can contact him directly ( texts only , He'll call you if he thinks it's needed ) . As soon as they roll you into that surgical room and admister the anesthesia, you'll be out instantly and won't hear or feel anything. Next thing you know they're waking you up and you have an implant and a giant dressing on your dick. Pee and you can be released. He'll inflate you approximately 60% and that's how you'll stay ( he says 6 weeks but if you heal properly it can be as early as 4 . I contacted him and sent pics of the incision, he greenlighted me to start cycling AND have sex a month after surgery) . It's an exciting/ anxious time for you but you have a high volume world class surgeon doing your implant, that should give you peace of mind . You'll be so happy with the results. I know I am

Thanks guys. I'm very glad I'm going with Dr. Clavell (though I'm sure all of the other high volume surgeons are just as capable). He fits the personality of what I'm looking for in a surgeon that does this type of surgery. Empathetic but straight to the point, and clearly very knowledgable in his craft.

I'm a drummer in a band (local band, nothing crazy) and I tend to get female attention and have opportunities present themselves to me by the end of the night. This one particular night, I was playing a show and I noticed in the audience, these 2 girls dancing along to our music and one make very clear eye contact with me. She did this throughout the night (but we were playing a 4-hour show, so they both eventually left the dancefloor). After the show, I walked around the bar talking to people and noticed the two girls sitting on a bench outside the bar. They unbuttoned my shirt and were both running their hands through my fur. I was nonplussed and quite flattered. It did not go any further than that. Both their husbands were in the living room only a few feet away. The memory still warms me. Not as much as your does you, I am sure. Keep on drumming and you will surely have similar opportunities.

If (when) a repeat of those circumstances happens, I suggest simply saying with a knowing smile, "Ladies, no need for all this fuss. There is plenty enough of me to share (or to go around)"
As for a threesome, I am not sure (even though I am implanted) how I would manage it. Durability of my erection is not a problem but I can still only enter one woman at a time. Paying attention to one woman's vagina while attending to another's body would put me in a conundrum similar to the dog who chases a car down the road and then actually CATCHES it!

Hahah, these are the stories that give us life fuel! I have some more crazy ass stories too from being in this band.. one particular show involving a mom and a daughter. Also funny you mention being a guitarist, I used to play with an older gentleman guitarist who would jokingly exclaim, "I'm quitting the band because drummer keeps getting all the girls and leaving none for me!" Actually I'm not in band with him anymore so maybe there was some truth to that...

On another note, I just got a call from Dr. Clavell's office and they offered to move my surgery up to July 5th. I checked my work and personal calendars and everything aligned for me to work that date, and actually worked better than the original date in August. My knees and hands are shake-y right now to be honest, and I had to take a couple of deep breaths on the call before confirming with the scheduler that the date worked for me. I'm super nervous. I know (and hope) this will be the ultimate best long-term decision for me but I can't believe it's coming so soon. Almost felt like backing out for a second when she asked me to confirm if the new date worked! Wish me luck fellas.
