So Doc came and went. He said I could shower after two days but just to not to go overboard in that area. There is no paperwork given out for post op care but no biggie I guess. I'm just gonna stick to the antibiotics and keep everything dry. Not gonna shower either for say a week, feel anxious about that, don't know why.
All I care about is that it works and I get through without an infection.

I was given a course of amoxicillin and it cleared up within a week. The message i got was DONT muck around even if you suspect an infection. Make sure you communicate with your healthcare team so they know what's going on and follow your aftercare notes to the letter.
As far as I know we get zero aftercare notes, is that normal with some Drs?

I received about 5-6 pages of cares notes, expectations, how to use the implant etc. I would say its borderline negligence to not do the same thing.
Interesting. Although, let's see what happen since I haven't been discharged yet, catheter and drain just got removed, I don't think any paper work is coming though from the feeling I'm getting.

As far as I could understand, all implantologists give you their heart in hand until payment and the operation, after which the next day they kick your ass, if you get an infection it's your business, so the advice to ask or be your own doctor, the limplanrologist told me that water is full of bacteria, you have to avoid it until the wound has healed perfectly
56, ED since 2010, pills work but not always and well, trt in progress improved but not so much, myocardial infarction january 2016, new stent september 2016, hypertension, venous on 1/23/23 titan one touch 22, no rte dottor Gabriele Antonini Italia

Yeah I'm not going near any water, just decided that. When I wash my beard I will do so leaning over the bath tub instead of standing in it. I think I have to see him in two weeks for him to show me how to use it and won't put any water down there until then.

I bought a pack of body wipes...they do an excellent job of cleaning the underarms and other areas that tend to grow bacteria. Warm water, soap and a washcloth might also work.

Congrats on joining the bionic side.
Keeping the area clean and dry for 2-4 days is all you should have to worry about. The risk for infection is quite low. I showered on day 3 but didn't let the water hit directly on my penis because that hurt! Use a clean towel and dab that area dry first.
