You’re going to get a lot of variation here. Especially between penoscrotal and infrapubic guys. Some doctors use a nerve block to mitigate pain those first few days (mine did).

I never really had pain. Pressure, yes. Soreness, yes. (always manageable). walked gingerly for about a week and spent most of that time on my back, icing. After a week sitting was more uncomfortable than walking. At 4 weeks i began walking a mile daily, while still insisted. Between weeks 5-6, 3 miles walking daily.

Yeah mine was penoscrotal. Just today sitting and standing has been too much. Can't take it and just go lay back down again. Was just getting worried.

Campfire, I had penoscrotal and at 4 weeks my wife and I went to Austin, Tx for a few days at a resort. I could walk with her around lake Austin on the trails but it was sort of gingerly with Reebok sweat pants that had room for the three boys and my half inflated sore penis. I had to wear a long extra large T-Shirt so I wouldn't get any weird looks from the younger ladies on the trails.   So at 4 weeks I would still have times when it was uncomfortable to sit in certain chairs and I would have to take Tylenol and Motrin combo to take care of the pain. It was pretty easy to overdue it at times. You'll get through this, it takes time.

Thanks SW. I think it got to me a bit today. I did a lot of reading before I had the implant but even though I did, you still panic a little at each stage you go through. And I have to be thankful for the fact that I do get ease when I'm lying on my back so there is at least one position where I am comfortable enough to cope.

Hey man, I had my implant surgery a day after you (July 5th) and I can totally get what you’re feeling right now. Unfortunately lying down, sitting down, standing are all positions that cause me a dull constant pain. The only solutions at this moment is pain management through meds and passing time. We’ll get there, each day/week/month passed is a milestone of feeling better.

What's happening NM. Yeah I'm taking meds regularly and am basically lying down nearly all day. At the moment just looking forward to being able to side sleep and stand without pain. Those would be two nice milestones. But I hear you man, everyday is one step closer to normality. You did well in not delaying surgery, I should've had it done at your age but I was too embarrassed. Stupid I know, but what can you say. Just gonna stay positive and move on with life.

Had a video call with the nurse today, first contact since the operation which was a week ago. I'm to go in to see them in about 10 days time, so that would be about 15 days after the operation, for Ralph to deflate. Not looking forward to it since everything is so swollen.

A lot of you guys seem to be asked to come back in for the first time after the surgery after about 6 weeks, I wonder if that's better in terms of swelling being way down by then? Hmm, let's see how this plays out next week. Dreading it to be honest.

I'm not sure if you mentioned already but what were you implanted with, AMS/Titan? Varies depending on the doctor, some pump after 3 days and whereas Dr. Clavell patients pump after 4-6 weeks.

Sorry I didn't update my signature cause I wasn't sure what size they had put in. The nurse today said it's a Titan 20cm with 3cm RTEs. Ralph did say he had some guys come in after 3 days. I'm so swollen I can't even imagine 6 weeks would be enough, this has got me freaked out at the pain that is about to go down next week lol. I'm only a week out though. Plus I think it's only to deflate, not to try and pump it but I could be mistaken. I'm pretty confident that the deflate will be enough to deal with.

She said its normal cause they want to see how it's healing and to try and deflate. I sent them pictures and they said the wound is dry and seems fine. Doc did say on the day of the surgery that he's gonna wanna see me in about two weeks.

Hope your recovery is going well.

So it will be on day 16 since the procedure that I will go to deflate. But honestly at the moment you literally can't make anything out and I just can't see how the swelling will have come down enough for him to do anything. We'll see.
