I would get the implant and skip the pills, for me that would have been 9 years ago. My implant experience is amazing so far, better than oem at any age. Man, can’t even imagine how good sex would have been at 18 with this thing.

surgery.Discovernew wrote:Would love the opinion of guys who already got an implant, and let me know what you would do in my case. Also i am sharing everything else i have tried before this in case anyone has any questions about other treatments.
I am specifically considering a Rigicon infla 10 ax, in turkey with Dr. Ihsan Karaman, simply because it seemed a good price, but i am talking to other doctors as well around the world. Anyone who has this model of implant, please do let me know your thoughts.
Also i am a bit torn between infrapubic incision and penoscrotal, as i see the first one heals faster (my biggest fear is the downtime and painful recovery), but the latter is more popular.
My case:
I am 40 years old, in great physical shape, often considered attractive by women, however i have been dealing with ED since i was 27, when i started dealing with a chronic pelvic pain for 4 years. The pain was eventually cured, but the ED stayed. Pills worked back in the day, they used to work 100% of the time and now, sometimes but not so much.
What i have tried until now.
- Shockwave. Approximately 10 sessions.
- PRP injection.
- Stem cell injection.
- Cialis daily 5mg and 2.5mg. It worked for a while but i couldn't tolerate it. I got dizzy, palpitations, bloody nose, and even fainted once, and decided to stop completely after that incident. Was not worth the risk.
- Botox injections. It made my penis larger while flaccid, but no difference in ED.
- Silednafil. This is the only thing that has ever worked for me. Back in the day with 50mg i was hard as a rock. But nowadays even with 100mg i am maybe 70% confident that i will make it work. I had a recent situation when i took throughout the night like 200mg and even combined it with cialis, and i still couldn't get it up at all, with a very beautiful lady. So after that situation i finally considered the implant. Nowadays the anxiety of this "maybe will work, maybe will not work", kind of kills the excitement of sex for me.
I would love to feel the confidence of being 100% sure i will be rock hard. Also i am not married, i am single and women find me attractive so i want to be free to sleep with whoever i want without worrying about things not working.
So my main question for you guys:
- If you knew pills will work 50-70% of the time, would you get an implant? Or would you prefer that 70% of chance and stick with the pills?
- Is there anything in my list i have not tried? I am determined to try everything before going with the final solution of an implant.
- If you have already done an implant, can you say why you chose that specific brand/model and why you chose that specific doctor, and either penoscrotal or infrapubic incision?
Will really appreciate the advise of guys who have already been through this,
Thank you so much!
Dont go for the implant! Even if pills dont work all the time but if they work stay as long as possible with the pills. If the implant isnt good installed your more a cripple and cant walk normal without pain. I payed 19k euro and have big problems with constant pain at the moment. It seem s my corporotomy was to high and I have sticking tubing into my lower shaft resulting in constant pain. Also I have Autoinflation. So it seems so far another surgery is required. And with all the costs and risk.
For example If you once get a infection and need to undergo - malleable and 3piece again it s so much money. Also your life is dependend from others (docs) it s not good. At the moment I really would go to before surgery cause of the trouble I got from surgery. If it s good installed it is a good option but there is always a chance it s not good installed. Dont look at the price for one surgery, look at the price for surgery and also for revision surgeries or not good installed implants or infections. Also it seems that the implant most likely brake between 2-8years what you can find here at FT. Many have already 2 revisions after 5 years. So an implant is really the absoulte last option like in my case but even then there are big risks which can make your life worse then before. Just my opinion. I am 3weeks out of surgery. In your lifetime it s possible to spend more than 100k dollar for an implant.
Also when it breaks your more impotent than ever in your whole life. If there are any restrictions in future (Pandemie, War or whatever) and your not allowed to travel or elective surgeries are not possible (IPP) then your really fucked up.
In my opinion walking around impotent is also not the solution and will depress you but also be aware with what your dealing. it s like you made a contract with the devil.
If you have health insurance for the implant everything seems not so tragic!

Ya, like the above post, there is a risk, satisfaction is high but it could suck bad. For me, i thought no sex was better than what i have, so i went for it and got amazing results. But if it didn’t work, my mind set was, no big deal. Get it pulled and move on.
If your unsure, maybe wait, just get you head right and read as many FT posts as possible.

When I first met with my doctor and told him my story, he told me it is to be expected that pills will lose their effectiveness. You're already experiencing that.
If I had known at 40, eight years into my ED, that pills would eventually almost completely not work, and I had known about implants then, I would have gotten one.
I chose my doctor because he specializes in ED, regularly does implants, is local to me, and is in my insurance company's network.
My doctor chose the Titan and penoscrotal approach. I didn't have a choice.

Discovernew wrote:Hillywilly wrote:I disagree a bit with the above poster. If you are not getting the results you want from the pills than it is likely due to a combination of organic and psychological causes. The organic causes warrant further evaluation with an EXPERT urologist in sexual medicine.
An expert in sexual medicine will be able to offer you injections which I agree with what another poster stated you should give them a try before moving to the implant to see if they work and you like them. However, if an issue like venous leak or PD is identified and your erections are subpar then it makes no sense to me why you would wait for your dick to atrophy and deteriorate to get the implant which with a good outcome will halt and potentially reverse atrophy. So in order to get the best chance at a good outcome you need to travel to the best in the world at implant surgery especially since you are a young guy. I know of many young guys that went with local surgeons and are now unhappy find the best.
Also, I chose titan because it gives the most rigid erection and I chose Dr. Hakky because of his reputations as being one of the best plain and simple. I did penoscrotal recovery was tough but I think cosmetically the outcome is better.
Thank you! Are you happy with Dr Hakky? would you personally recommend it? how much time did it take since surgery day till being completely functional in sex?
Thanks!
I would 100% recommend Dr. Hakky for a few reasons:
1) High volume and very good surgeon with very impressive CV.
2) Excellent pre and post op care- Hakky was extremely responsive to all my concerns and question both pre and post (VERY IMPORTANT for such an anxious time)
3) Friendly and cool guy to talk it almost felt as though a friend were doing surgery on me.
EID and Clavell are other good surgeons but I am partial to Hakky, I even went to him for my HA filler to increase my girth I lost from peyroines too.

Wow, that's an amazing experience! Do you fully recommend Dr clavel? Would you choose him again if you had the chance?
How long did it take you since surgery day until having "the best sex of your life"?

Thank you! if you were single, would you still choose to get an implant?
How old are you now and how old were you when you got the implant?
If I were single and needed the implant I would do it.
I was 68 when implanted. I am 72 now.

Yes highly recommend Clavell. Well, at week 6 sex was gentle, tip and base had pain. 8 weeks was good to go all but cowgirl, that hurt my base. So count on 6 weeks down time plus for a good outcome. At 12 weeks i am 99%, very little base pain to none when masterbating. Wifes been gone for a couple weeks, very confident cowgirl will be fine from here on.
6 months to a year for some reports to get your max girth and length. I never really lost pre op size.
Fifth time having sex/week 6 on for great sex for me. The patience you get not worrying about your erection going down, or if you bust nuts, being able to keep going is awesome. And i cum so fing hard now, so intense.

I have only one question: Did you get tested for Venous Leakage? I knew something was wrong, and BIGLY wrong. Then, finally I got tested and was told the implant was the only option. For me, Tri-Mix did not even work.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

Hi, I never got tested for venous leakage. However, what benefit will the test give me? At the end of the day, the treatment options end up being the same. That's why I decided the approach of "try everything" rather than testing. And it seems that I pretty much I have already done so, except for injections which I am definitely against.
