Early signs of failure - paranoid?

Postby Endoftheline » Sun Jul 16, 2023 12:55 pm

Its been a while since i posted, i wanted to continue living my life and forget about ED but ive had a recent development compel me to come back.

For the past few days, ive lost the squeaky noise on my pump (titan). Whenever i get past 50% the bulb becomes hard but pumpable, i dont get the vibrations or a satisfying squeeze. I can get it to 100% but the bulb is barely pressing. I can feel the bulb is full and liquid is moving but it isnt pumping with pressure like before.

It also inflates faster than before, and as i get closer to 100 i start feeling some pain in my left shaft and glans.

Is this a sign of a leak? Do i need to get my affairs in order for a revision in the near future?

how many times have you cycled it - even with a leak it could take multiple times before no fluid moves and it doesn't get hard.

if your implant is getting hard still, then it may be just an issue with the valve in the pump. Sometimes this can be reset by your surgeon, other times you need a revision.
Radical Prostatectomy in 2015; failed pills, straight to Coloplast Titan in 2019 by Dr. Valenzuela in NYC, Replaced with AMS 700 CX in 2022 by Dr. Darshan Patel in San Diego, CA. Wish I jumped to an implant even before prostate cancer!

Ive cycled it religiously in the 1st year, im under the impression gains slow down after that. My problems started about a week and a half ago.

So it could slowly be leaming and i wouldnt know it until it stops working?

I don't have a Titan, but it sounds to me like everything is just getting broken in from use. The bulb or pump will soften with use as will the cylinders from being stretched, this will make the pressure you feel during pumping feel less hard. I'd say with the bulb still feeling hard and the fact you can still pump up to 100% that there is nothing wrong other than it's getting broke in.

I agree with JohnH3
I’m at 14 months and pumping my genesis (Titan) has changed a lot since earlier days. I feel the implant has gotten stretched out and isn’t nearly as elastic as it was. It still takes me 25-30 pumps but once it gets close to max (stretched out) I can only get the last 6/8 pumps in with lots of xtra pressure and can only get little tiny pumps. Do in some ways similar to what your dealing with.

Fully deflate than squeeze the pump as hard as you can to reset it. Remember to squeeze once after deflating to set the valve properly.

do you think that once everything has been deflated, then given 1 pump, and the valve has been reset, it may also block due to self-inflation?
