I have been reading your experience with Dr Clavell. From all the posts i have read, yours seems to be the most positive experience ever. Almost no pain from the beginning and all sunshine and rainbows. I hope this question does not bother you, but is there any way you could prove you are a real patient and not anyone advertising Dr Clavell's work here?

I mean, anyone can create an anonymous user here, and this would be the perfect platform for Drs to create fake usernames and advertise their services.

I hope you don't mind me asking this question, as much as i wish you are real and i end up having such a positive experience as yours, i'd just rather be super skeptical about the info i get before doing a life changing surgery.

Thanks!

I’m another highly satisfied Clavellians. I’m real.

Willing to talk by phone if you’d like. PM me.

How many times you have sex could help in your decision…. I also did NOT want injections, the potential for scare tissue, having to plan for sex = less sex, and only 2x a week were deal breakers.

This is a great point.

Honestly, in my peak sexuality time, when i was in my 30s, my max record was 5 different women within 24hs. At the time, sildenafil 50mg was working great, so that means i had to pop 5 times 50mg within 24hs. Which was doable and it was all fun.

I cannot imagine injecting myself 5 times in a single day. Let alone once to be honest. Sildenafil is not as effective as it used to be and even if i take 100mg i am still having anxiety wether it would work or not. So even the time that i do spend with a woman is not so fun anymore, thinking my D can go down at any time.

Nowadays i am in my 40s but i still consider myself attractive and i am pretty sure i could do a lot more in the sexual department if i had the confidence 100% that my erection will be there exactly when i need it.

Except injections, which i don't see as a very practical option for me, i think i tried pretty much everything else.

Hello, I am someone who has made the decision that if it is necessary, I will get an implant immediately. Injections work very well for me and have been for almost 8 years. All I had to do was increase the dose. I also successfully dated a year after my marriage. Now I have a new hot partner and I couldn't believe it, I had to reduce the dose to get a 2-4 hour erection.
I haven't had any scars, fibrosis or anything like that. (I had it tested first). Currently I use it 3-5 times a week. Had it also had 7 days, but that should be the exception.
I also know the stories that it is horror to inject yourself into the penis. But it's nothing wild at all. Taking blood is much worse. But everyone reacts differently here. Since I never had a normal long erection, I didn't have a choice anyway.
I could have sex much more often, but I found the compromise for me here. Better to get a "normal erection" as long as possible without tubes in the body and enjoy it. As long as the injections work, because I think they're great and so does my girlfriend, because she didn't know how to have sex for so long.
As mentioned, the op cannot be undone, but I think that if you have the opportunity to live it out now, you should do it.
Spina Bifida and ED since birth. Sex with pills possible for a while, injections have been working fine for 7 years. Slight increase in dose. Consideration implant

I am 71 and has my implant just over 2 yrs. Ago. So glad I did. I used all of the pills which worked for a while. This began in my late 50s. After they quit working and after getting tired of the side effects.. I went to using tri mix. It worked well for a while. Then it quit working well. Got depressed. I kept putting off getting an implant. Wish I would have done it sooner. I love it. I got the AMS CX 700. Did not lose any girth but may have lost about 1/2” in length. No big deal. Not a lot of pain afterwards. My penis was a bit numb for a while which made orgasm hard to achieve but that all passed within about 10 weeks. After that, everything worked like a champ. Had it done by Dr. Figler at UNC in NC. Very happy. He was and is highly recommended. One of the best.,

I can enjoy sex without worrying about the logistics that I experienced with pills, injections, etc. I am very happy with my implant. My one piece of advice is make sure you find the right surgeon for you (not only someone that does a lot, but has seen it all in terms of complications). You also want someone that you connect with and trust that they will work with you if any problems arise. You really want to get it right the first time with the surgery since all revisions are much more complicated and higher risk.

Thank you! i am reading your signature. Why did you decide to change the titan for an AMS? And having one of the very few people who have tried both implants first hand. Which one did you like more of the two, and why? Or are they basically the same thing at the end of the day?

What I realized that there are some nuances to the different implants (Coloplast vs AMS) that not everyone realizes and not all surgeons consider. Most surgeons implant one more than the other (or exclusively perform a certain implant) but its hard to figure out if their any biases there (kick-backs, etc etc). Find yourself a surgeon that offers both and have them review the pluses/minuses of each. I was initially sold on getting a more rigid and durable implant with the Coloplast especially with having some Peyronie's disease, but what i found was the pump deflation was a little tricky ultimately it wasn't working properly - prompting the revision. I can't speak for use with sexual activity with titan because i just couldn't operate it and then I had a long period due to covid that i couldn't get a revision. Also the titan has a little less "natural" appearance with deflated which I didn't think would bother me since I'm married but it somewhat did.

AMS looks more natural to me and the pump is easier to deflate for sure (although a little more bulky footprint in my sac). Dr. Patel talked to me about all these things vs. Titan that I had. Therefore went to switch with the titan to AMS CX. Surgery was challenging especially trying to gain some length/girth that I had lost since I was unable to appropriately cycle for the longest time with the titan, but Dr. did awesome work. It works great now - wife is super pleased especially with almost 8 years of complete ED after my prostate surgery.
Radical Prostatectomy in 2015; failed pills, straight to Coloplast Titan in 2019 by Dr. Valenzuela in NYC, Replaced with AMS 700 CX in 2022 by Dr. Darshan Patel in San Diego, CA. Wish I jumped to an implant even before prostate cancer!
