6 months postop.

Im still working on engorgement. Those first few months i was without my partner and was cycling….unaroused. I was concerned about the “oval” shape of my dick. The tubes fully inflated and hard bathe glans and underside soft. I called it the “pontoon boat”.

Now, when FULLY inflated and stretched to 100% it seems like stuff is so compressed that it might inhibit glans/spongiosum blood flow. So, i throttle back to 90%, and that helps, a lot.

But the biggest determining factor is simple arousal. I’m in Thailand now with my girlfriend. She turns me on and i’m pleased to see my glans turning purple and underside filling out. Still not the roundness of pre-implant, but not bad.

Had a discussion with her about it last night. She said feeling it flaccid it’s obvious there’s “something” going on. But, just a few pumps in and she assures me it feels and looks like a normal cock. She loves it at full mast and says it looks and feels completely normal, and nobody could ever tell the difference.

I would say about 6 months out for me. I'm thankful that I have some engorgement after the Rezum prostrate procedure [*benign enlarged prostrate] that I had before my implant because everything went totally limp after that, total ED. Now days when I get aroused I'll get a little cub even if I'm not inflated, it feels good to have something going on down there even if I can't have a natural erection anymore.
I have the AMS LGX which has different tube material, so I have to get to 85 to 90 percent to have good PIV sex and still get glans engorgement.

I was recently implanted on July 6, 2023 with a Tactra malleable - my 1st choice of implant. I immediately retained the ability to engorge. With a malleable, you are always semi-rigid, but not always erect - there is a difference. I am erect when I feel my penis engorge with blood and actually get bigger and harder - which it does. When not engorged, it physically feels like a flaccid penis otherwise would. The caveat is that having been recently implanted, I am still in the recovery stage, which means that engorgement may cause some level of discomfort - for now, as things heal. When aroused I get good engorgement. Have had it since beginning. I also get engorgement in morning.

From what I have read and discussed with various doctors, if you had engorgement earlier, you should be able to retain it post implant as well. Same for ejaculation.

I would wait till you start daily cycling and then move towards getting arousal. In my experience the pain of cycling in early days is high. So unlikely you will feel aroused. A week or 10 days of cycling and you will start to enjoy it!

You can also discuss with you doctor and ask for a prescription of Tadalafil/Cialis. I did that with my doc and he said u can eat 5mg daily and 20mg on the day of sex. But honestly I avoid eating it.

First 2-3 months I wasn’t getting much so started using cialis daily and a little xtra on sex days.Recently I forgot my cialis on a trip and was pleasantly surprised when I still got really good engorgement when my wife got me all worked up.
