Is 24k reasonable for an implant (consultation with Antonini)
Re: Is 24k reasonable for an implant (consultation with Antonini)
Just had an malleable implant by Dr. Carrion in Tampa, Fl. He is head of urology at USF and is one of the world's 'leading penile dr's. He has fellowships that teach dr's from all over the world to do penile implants. He an "aggressive" sizer but with the patient's safety as far as revisions and erosion in mind. I had the malleable due to age almost 70 and health history ... I had the Rigicon malleable installed ... did I lose length? ..yes .. but then again age and the longer you have ED you lose length .. I was a grower not a shower .. girth is decent .. had 1st follow up yesterday .. I have a good size fat pad so that eats up much of my length ..if I lay on my back length is decent almost what it was few years back .. they said after I heal will send me for a consult to have the fat pad reduced which will bring the length back ..I think too many worry about sizing on here ... most women don't care .. unless you are taking a ruler to bed before and after surgery how would they really know? .. If you a young guy still in the game adding notches to your bedpost I can see the sizing thing being important to you at least in your head .. technique out does size every time ... I was very good sized in my younger days ... made no difference in the long run and my bedding numbers might alarm some of the younger guys on here .. you have to remember in my youth we had no aids or crap like that .. More should worry about long term function and no revisions I was told that there are some newer implants coming down the line soon ..malleables with some inflation added to it .. I'm old so in my life should never need to redo my implant because it is a malleable .. it has a lifetime warranty ..
Re: Is 24k reasonable for an implant (consultation with Antonini)
I spent about half that including airfare and traveling around India for 2 weeks before my Rigicon infla 10x surgery at Dr Gupta’s office in Delhi.
It was a trip man. That was an experience right out of a movie. When I first looked into this whole idea of getting implanted, I found his YT videos. Down the rabbit hole I went.
There’s two things I wanted - a bionic cock and a trip to some place I’d never been and always wanted to go. So I set my mind on India and off I went.
I’m 3 weeks out, things seem to be healing very well. Every day is one day closer to having amazing sex with the hottest female I can find that is willing. I just hiked in the Himalayas the last few days with no pain or issues at all. That’s good I suppose.
All this to say, I spent about half what you’re considering, it was an insane, once in a lifetime experience and adventure. Also, Dr Gupta has operated on thousands of dicks. Initial results seem quite promising and the future is looking bright and it’s way less than $24k and has a lifetime warranty.

JH1982 wrote:Hi guys I had a consultation with Antonini in Italy and I was quoted 24k.
I have some concerns about the consultation. So I would like to hear the opinion of some of you who has gone through more consultations and has more experience with that
1) the price: 24k seems very high.
I’m not sure that it’s justified. He seems to be the best in Europe but I still wonder if, most of the time, going to him or to another surgeon will make any difference.
Antonini justified the price telling me that 13,5 is for the implant and the rest goes to him, facility anestesia
However my understanding is that you can get this surgery for around 15-20k (if not less in other countries)
2) I’m a “grower”. In terms of length he told me that this is how you see how long the penis will be when inflated by the implant
You grab the gland of your penis when flaccid. You stretch it almost to break it. And that’s the final length.
I think that, compared to my normal erection (or at least the one I had) I will definitely loose some size.
While he told me that the width will be exactly the same.
To be honest I’m quite concerned to shorten my penis.
He told me that there is absolutely nothing that can be done to “make it longer” otherwise the implant would injury the gland.
In his opinion in the hands of an inexperienced surgeon it can get shorter but no one in the world can “size me up” (I guess is the jargon to say “make me longer”)
I feel a bit blocked by this
3) he sounded overly confident. While this is in a way a good thing I know friends who, having other surgeries in the past, had issues with overly confident surgeons.
So I don’t know if this could be an issue or not
4) he proposed to make me talk with some patients as I was concerned about sensitivity.
While this is great and I know that most surgeons (at least in other fields) don’t do it,, of course I would only speak with the happy patients so I don’t know how much this would help practically.
5) I asked him about Regicom.
The reason why I was interested is the lifetime guarantee and the fact that I’m 40.
He told me that while you can save a bit of money with Regicom is nothing substantial
At the same time he didn’t recommend it.
He says that at the moment there is no long term literature so he would just put it in a 70 years old patient.
While I do understand that there is some rationale in this…. Implanting that implant only on a 70 years old patient kind of kills the purpose of the lifetime guarantee
6) he told me that the other implants are guaranteed only 5 years.
I thought they had a 10 years guarantee
To be honest having only a 5 years guarantee is quite concerning. I feel like is too short. Expecially considering my young age
7) I asked him precisely why 10/15% of patients seem to be dissatisfied with implants.
He told me that the main reason is that they had them with the national health service and they didn’t understand the pros and cons of the surgery.
I’m not sure about that. I feel like maybe he was trying not to describe to me the worse case scenarios not to scare the shit out of me.
I guess that if surgeons told you everything nobody would get surgery.
But at the same time, the unknown scares me even more.
8) I asked him about the infection rate.
He told me that in literature is 2,5%. But he never personally had a case. I wonder if this can be true
9) I asked him the risks of having multiple surgeries.
Being young is a concrete possibility for me.
He told me that if the implant gets infected then it can be tricky.
If it just fails then there is no issue.
I wonder if this can be true.
To me it seems logical that keep insulting the erectile tissue every time that you change the implant might create issues.
10) he seems (and I was expecting that) to find the technique he learned from Perito superior.
And passing from the scrotum barbaric.
However I heard some of you here telling that
- while passing from the scrotum has a higher infection rate
- won’t have implications on the sensitivity
11) another thing that made me wonder is that, after paying, you can get surgery in 7-8 days
While this is great in a way… I was though expecting a longer waiting list considering the amount of surgeries that he does.
I don’t think though that this should be a concern as he told me that the surgery lasts 15 minutes so I guess that it is easy to squeeze one more patient in the same day
I would love to hear thought of people who
- went through more consultations (this was my first one)
- and are already implanted
To be honest the amount of money he is asking is blocking me a bit. I’m not going to lie. It’s a big amount of money.
Expecially given that it will most likely not be my last surgery.
If I could take drugs honestly I wouldn’t even consider it but I can’t.
There is a post from a colleague who had it done in Turkey for much less than that, with Rigicon inflated 10 ax and he is super happy, I could look at it, I personally would not use Titan, the porn actor Ramon Nomar told me that he had had 4 and all they lasted 1 year and a half, currently a malleable one was put on. Apparently the tubes that connect the cylinders to the pump sedate very easily and the liquid leaks.
Rigicon has a lifetime warranty and has 4 layers, one more than ams or coloplast. In addition, I see the inflation mechanics much better and more real than the other brands. not to mention that it expands in thickness and length like a bomb. Surely Dr. Antonini is brilliant but unfortunately there are people who cannot pay those amounts, imagine that you have to pay for a reoperation apart from the 24k? unfeasible at least for me.

Re: Is 24k reasonable for an implant (consultation with Antonini)
Hi JH1982, I chose Dr. Andrew Kramer as my implant surgeon before even meeting him. He has videos of him performing penile implant surgeries and some other related on his YouTube channel, and I watched most of them. I watched and listened as he walks throughand explains in his YouTube videos the surgeries that he is performing.
I did go to one local doctor for a consultation, mainly just to hear another implant surgeon out. The biggest issue that I had with other implant surgeons is that many of them, if not most of them, do guarantee that they themselves will do the surgery. Many of them will supervise, while another surgeon in training actually performs the surgery. Dr. Andrew Kramer is the surgeon that will be doing your implant surgery.
I went to Cape Cod to get my implant surgery done.
1. I paid 24k for my surgery, which included everything surgery related. I of course had to pay for my flights, hotel stay, etc., which are additional expenses. I was willing to pay that amount for the surgery, but everybody and their situations are different.
2. "You grab the gland of your penis when flaccid. You stretch it almost to break it. And that’s the final length."
Your doctor won't actually know the actual length of your penis or even the size of the penile implant device until you are in surgery. Your doctor should try to implant you with the longest device that they can, not any more or less.
This is one of those areas where going with a surgeon that has performed a high volume of penile implant surgeries is important.
I personally am back at my original length, but I am not as girthy. I never actually measured my length or girth before, so it is difficult to really compare for me.
3. It's not an issue. If that's personality, then let it be. After all, you do want your surgeon to confident.
4. I'm sure they would be biased, which would of course you would expect, but it would probably be good to talk with others who have had gone through the process.
5. I know nothing about Regicom.
6. Dr. Andrew Kramer implanted me with an LGX 700 AMS. If I remember right, if I have to have another implant, the implant would come at no cost, but he would have to charge for the surgery itself. You might want to get clarification on this.
8. Knowing a penile implant surgeon's infection rate is important. In general, the shorter the surgery, the less of a chance there is for an infection, but a lot that we don't control over goes into it. What we can control is what we do after the surgery.
Ask others on this forum about their experience in taking care of themselves after their surgery to minimize getting an infection.
9. You're relatively young, so at some point later in life you'll probably need another implant. Except for getting an infection, I wouldn't worry about it.
10. I personally looked for a penile implant surgeon that did not use the Perito technique. I watched videos of penile implant surgeries using both the Perito and scrotal technique and I just felt more comfortable going with a penile implant surgeon that uses the scrotal technique.
My sensitivity is the same. The only difference is that when I naturally got fully hard, my glans were less sensitive (sort of). Now, when I fully pump, I can feel the pressure of the tubes on the inside of my glans putting pressure on them from the inside, which makes them more sensitive.
Wether guys take Viagra, Cialis or inject themselves, the effects start to wane over time. Getting an implant is eventually the way to go.
I honestly don't really think about it now from a physical perspective.
My suggestion is choose the best surgeon that is right for you. Get your money right. Get it done.
Oh, and come back to the forum even after you get your implant to contribute. I'm so grateful for this forum / community and am happy that I went through with it. I'm sure that you will be too.

Hi! why did you decide to get the infla 10x and not the Infla 10 AX?
Actually I decided I wanted the 10AX and the story I was told when I was in recovery was that they initially used the AX but then the doctor decided that due to the size of my penis the 10X would provide a better experience with more rigidity.
Surprised would be a word that fits.
But hey as long as the right implant is in there, I’m fine with it. I just spent the last week with an inflated dick and it’s clear I didn’t lose any size. That was a very uncomfortable week walking around Nepal with a boner.
42 yo Implanted 27th of June ‘23 w/ Rigicon Infla10X in India, 22cm w/ 1cm RTE by Dr Gupta. On TRT for 10 years. Pills work sometimes & other times don’t. Finally made the decision to fix it permanently.

Wow, this is interesting. Did they say why the 10X would be better? What is your dick size? Are you trying to say your dick is too big for the 10AX, or the 10AX in general is not good for larger dicks?
Your Dr is Gupta?
Implanted October 11, 2024, Dr Karaman. Infla10 AX 20cm +1cm RTE.

Re: Is 24k reasonable for an implant (consultation with Antonini)

Indeed it is him, and he has a titan of coloplast... I don't know if he will continue with his profession, but that was the last thing I was able to speak with him.
Wow i just googled the guy you mentioned and found this video. I think i can see the pump in his scrotum in this video. Is he using a titan in this video?

And do you think he will be able to do porn with a malleable implant? Sounds not very easy.
