Failure looks imminent

Postby Hrc714 » Mon Jul 24, 2023 11:08 am

After having my CSX fail at 3 years, and having a Titan revision about 18 months ago, I am experiencing a slow progression to a failed pump. With increasing frequency, the pump seems to be filling then pushing backward into the reservoir. I get a strange vibration in the tubing and reservoir on pumping, and cylinders fail to inflate. I can pump harder or softer or reset to get some erection but getting harder to get harder. I suspect the answer will be another revision which I am not wanting. As my wife has closed shop and I have used two implants only one time, it is no longer needed and not a requirement to have this unit replaced. The implant in the deflated state is not painful but also not 100% comfortable. My inclination on any complete failure is to leave things alone without another revision. Alternative is to have it removed without replacement to make things a bit more comfortable. I know it is not failed yet, but if I plot the trend, it will not be long. Has anyone gone through such a removal and can comment on recovery?

Man that sucks !!! I feel for you . Do you have the titan genesis pump or the one touch release? I have the titan OTR and was having problems with my left cylinder not deflating. I had to fuck around with it , pumping and deflating, moving my erection around , squeezing before I could get it to deflate. I had one half of my dick hard , the other side soft .... freaky . This problem has appeared to magically resolve itself as I've had zero difficulty deflating it lately. Like you , I was worried a revision was in my future and I'm only 3 months post-op of my 1st implant. I'm hoping your issue resolves itself to. It breaks my heart to hear your just gonna give up on having a sex life . We only get one chance to live our best lives so I hope you change your mind. If you did get a revision would you consider a Malleable? At least it'd be one and done . Good luck to you my brother.

I would do a search on this site for a Coloplast rep. AMS reps have some really good fixes and can help men reset the AMS pump that fixes a lot of stuff. I would look for the same with a Coloplast rep or a Coloplast high volume surgeon. The problem with a surgeon would be they will look to make money with another surgery. So a rep from Coloplast would be best. Worth a bit of time searching and reaching out to find out. My understanding is that if you have the device removed you will start back with shrinkage. For me just having the implant and being able to have an erection was a big help to me. Not that I was using it all the time. Of course that was great as well. I feel like a whole man again. And you never know when your sex live might change. I would spend some time and try to find a reset for your pump. Nothing to waste but a little time. Being a shower now is great and I leave some inflation in my LGX for comfort and ease (size for) of urination.

Good luck to you with this.
