Pain and redness in scrotum 12th day post op

Postby annoyed31 » Tue Jul 25, 2023 2:02 pm

Hi,

I recently got implanted,Its been a rough recovery so far, mild infection on sugical incision site (ongoing treatment with antiobiotics). Pain on scrotum in left testicle is still there with red skin. If i stand for 5 minutes its starts swelling up! Its almost my 2nd week coming to an end. How long did it take you guys to feel normal, other than scrotal pain there is numbness under the shaft. Glan engorgement is stil there.

I am not inflated after surgery, its just 10 cc right now in the cylinders, surgeon has asked to wait 6 weeks for activation.Pump sits lower in scrotumand let testrticle feels like attached to it...i do not know! just the feeling.

->No pain laying on back with ice
->Slight discomfort in colon because of RTE.
->Slowly healing incsion.
->only 25-30%if cyclinder tips are in Glans

How much time did it take fro you guys took to heal and get rid of the pain in scrotum ?

I had burning stinging pain in my scrotum for over 4 weeks. Keep icing it. I used ice and Heat on and off all day long at 2 weeks out.

Sorry it's still painful. Hang on because it isn't over, you just had major surgery to a very delicate part of your anatomy.
Healing from such a major surgery is said to take an entire year, although most of the healing happens in the first three months. And we all heal differently, some guys have little to no pain, then unlucky guys like me had pain for 6 months. Keep the ice on, rest and feel better soon.

OldGuy is right, it takes a good while to heal. I would say it took about 6 months for me to feel normal again.

I did have sex for the first time at 7 weeks but I was a little awkward, painful and had numbness, but it was great to have sex again.
It gets better with every week.
The longest thing that took to heal was where the reservoir was located. I can still feel it from time to time but it doesn't hurt or bother me.
Now that I'm almost 2 years out from surgery, sex is just like before I had an implant.

We all heal different, so hang in there and be patient

Apart from the incision site which i pray heals very soon for you, I think the other symptoms are normal. You should start using a heating pad. That will help a lot. Since the incision has an issue I don’t think taking a shower will be allowed in your case.
In my case i used to feel the same with swelling and pain after standing for longer periods. You are still very early in recovery. The pump attaching itself to left testicle is also seen commonly. With heat and time it will get better.

Visited my surgeon today, had to travel 4hrs in total going and coming back, he says incision looks okay. But when i came home i changed my bandage i saw, brown dry material formed on my wound looked like melted away maybe because of standing sitting or generally moving. I can see now, red and yell stuff in my complete incsion. I am not sure if it is normal or not. Dr. asked me to let the bandage on for 3 days more. and after 3 days start showering and wash wound 3 times a days while showering. I am still on antibiotics for nect 4 days. But not really confident if the healing is going the right way.

Sounds like you are following your doctors instructions. You are on meds so there is nothing else to do but keep following the instructions and wait. That is the worst part I think. After going through everything for the surgery then you just have to wait and take it easy. Stay as healthy as you can and control any other problems you have. Keep an eye on the incision and see if it closes back up and dry's out. If you start getting a lot of seepage from it let your doctor know right away. Your doctor may want to change or extend your meds. Not a lot you can do but wait. Good luck going forward with this.
