Thank you all for the replies, they are very helpful, I can't wait to get bonking again as it has been a long time LOL

My next question is, is there a video or diagram showing how to use the implant but I suppose I should start another thread for that :)

I think you can find many videos of cycling and also you should have got a CD or DVD after the surgery with all instructions. What I can't understand is how a doctor can do a surgery on you that needs an important follow up and just leave with no one to take over? You surgeon implanted a prosthesis inside your body and it is a must for him or someone else within the facility is to meet you and show you how to deflate it.
You shouldn't accept the fact that the doctor just left, and no one else in the facility can provided a follow up support.
You are saying that your scrotum is bigger than normal, ie still swelling, which is something that needs to be looked into by a specialist. It could be just a swelling from the surgery, if you didn't apply icing and warm baths. But to make sure everything is fine, you need to call the facility and ask for an appointment or if no specialist is there, they should refer you to another implant surgeon. If you try to meet any surgeon to follow up, no one will accept. You need to be harsh with them. It is your right. You paid a lot of money (or your insurance), and this should include the follow up appointment to get activated.

My doctor had cleared me to cycle in 2 weeks. It was very painful at 2 weeks time so I waited an extra week. If you can figure out the deflate valve and the pump distinctively, you can give it a try.

In my case the initial couple of weeks or so were very painful after I began cycling.

I started cycling at around 3 weeks, the swelling was almost gone and I could easily feel and identify all the parts of the pump. Now at first I only pumped up till it started to hurt in my glans then would let it sit 10 to 15 minutes and deflate it. If you're at 4 weeks or more, and can fully feel and recognize all parts of the pump, plus can tolerate the squeezing of the pump without much pain, then personally I'd go ahead and try it. But it's entirely up to you to decide if you feel up to trying or waiting another week or so. If you're still pretty swollen in the scrotum then I would wait a bit longer until the swelling is down or almost gone.

Same here. My doctor had me start cycling after my two week check up. Also instructed me to pull down on device until my 6 week checkup, also good advice.. Now going on 6 months since surgery and every thing has worked great with no issues. Regarding instruction videos, YouTube has several.

When I had my stitches and drain removed at 2 weeks I had virtually no swelling in my scrotum and since I was infrapubic I had very little soreness at all anywhere. So at two weeks he told me I could gently start pumping but he also told me to deflate after just 1-2 pumps and be sure I mastered that before pumping more. Also said as soon as I was comfortable I could have sex very gently. So at 2 weeks I began pumping but nowhere near max. By 3 weeks I was pumping pretty hard and had first sex. It was VERY tender and sore afterwards for a day. But just got a LOT better every time afterwords. My advice is like others, listen to your body and your pain level and stop if it gets very uncomfortable. Might definitely try masterbation with lots of lube first and gradually build from there.

My drain was removed the next day of the operation at about 5am, as I was checked out. I didn't use any ice, but warm showers. My recovery was slow. At 4 weeks, at my second follow up appointment with my doctor (first was at 2 weeks) I was still sore and some swelling in the shaft (I am infrapubic). So, my doctor told to wait 2 more weeks. I was cleared for cycling at 6 weeks, but wasn't really ready for sex before about 2 1/2 month.
The above advice of listening to your body is a great one.
