I could pee and it did not hurt. Clavell doesn’t use a catheter though, maybe thats part of it.

Depends on how you define right after the operation. My dr uses a catheter for the first 24 hours. Upon removal I was warned that some minor burning could occur. I do not recall any burning. If it did. It was so minor to be almost unnoticable.

Bring the urinal home from the hospital.You cant point the dang thing for a while.

I have captured peeing after the surgery extensively in my journal. I had great difficulty with it and it took a long time to get normal. Initially I could only pee a few drops right after the operation which subsequently got little better in day 2. I was only discharged post this.
But I did face a lot of issues over next many weeks where the peeing would be painful and not steady stream.

I had a catheter for 24 hours after my implant. Peeing was not pleasant but that was better than getting up every 30 minutes to pee. After the catheter was removed there was slight burning sensation for a couple of days. The worst part there was no telling where the stream was going to go or if it was going to be a sprinkler and go everywhere. Since the wife didn't want the bathroom walls, toilet and sink painted in yellow it was sit down from then on.
