Hey I have so many questions on the implant process as honestly this is what I’ve fully decided on to finally get my life back. I’ll start with the questions then write my story
1. How does one work with a urologist that is distant from them? I see people are traveling to Nashville to get the implant but I’m wondering how are they working with the doctors if they’re such a far distance away ? Dr Levine in chicago is the closest one to me that has had people in this forum leave a good review and that’s who I want to work with. He is 2 hours away though so I don’t know how to even start the process.
2.has anyone reading this worked with Dr.Levine and if so what did your process look like and how much was it? Did insurance cover it?
3. How do you even mention the implant? Should I tell the doctor on the phone call that I’m interested in a implant or do I just tell him I’ve been battling with ED and see what he says from there?
4. I what did the process look like and how long did it take you from your first appointment to the actual day of the surgery?
Okay so now that that’s out of the way . I am a 20 year old and I’ve been suffering with ED since late 15 early 16. I’ve attempted getting help from urologists in the past and when I went to one he brushed me off and said it was in my head , the guy didn’t even want to test my hormones. I had to tell my parents I had ED and my dad went with me to the appointment and I had to explain to the doctor I have ED right infront of my dad and do you know how embarrassing that is? But this urologist still thought I was lying like what 16 year old is going to tell their parents they have ED and need help for the fuck it? After that experience I stopped relying on doctors for this issue and I took it into my own hands and I’ve tried so many things from natural to super toxic which I will list off
1.Cialis high dose
2.Daily cialis 5-10mg
?.viagra daily and high dose
3.So many vitamins and protocols found online
4.Trt with proper ancillaries such as an aromatase inhibitor (I’ve tried lowering my estrogen, raising my estrogen, super high testosterone levels, normal levels)
5.Anabolic steroids, my muscles respond but no improvement for erections (I have taken high testosterone, tren which is the most toxic steroid there is , proviron, masteron which are all super androgenic and if it was a hormonal issue / androgen deficiency I would’ve definitely have been fixed )
6.Penis pump ,still use and may be the only reason I haven’t lost much size since I started using it daily at 17 to not lose size, but doesn’t help with maintaining erection even with ring as it doesn’t get hard all the way
7.Penis ring
8.Vardenafil I think brand name is levitra
9.Pt 141
10.Melanotan II
11.Pramipexole and Cabergoline
12.Pelvic floor exercises
13.Fasting
14.Thc cbd 1:1 topical applied to area
15.Marijuana
16.Hcg
17. Enclomifene
18. Wellbutrin
19. Busporin
20. Almost tried ibogaine but people have died taking it so I pulled out last minute
I guess I’ve never tried tri mix but after injecting myself so many times with steroids I seriously do not want to inject myself everytime I want to get hard.
I know I look insane for trying all these things but it’s hard when you’re so young and you can’t really live your life, it gets really lonely . I would’ve never thought I would’ve been buying so many illegal drugs and taking them at this age . It seriously sucks but I’ve had enough and I need to get the implant, I don’t obsess over my ED like I used to because I had to for my mental health.I’m going to try again with doctors because I’m tired of not living the life I want to be living. I suspect it could be a venous leak as I can get hard in very certain positions but if I move it instantly goes soft and my glans go from hard to soft as well . Any help would be appreciated .

What could have caused your ED!? It's unbelievable that a 16yo would suffer from Ed with meds or an accident.

What exactly is your ED like? Do you get an erection but then it quickly fades away? Or you just don't get erection at all, ever?
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

Where do I start. #1. I am sorry to hear your plight. #2 do you have insurance? a. are you still covered by your parents insurance? #3. where exactly do you live (city). #4. Do you know of any university / teaching hospitals near you? Get back to us with your answers and maybe someone has a plan.
Where am I coming from? #1. I live in a small community (200,000) and all the for profit doctors here, I would not go to. #2. I travel over 100 miles to go to a university teaching hospital. #3. They would have a interest in seeing your case and would look at it as a challenge. #4 many times they will take on a unique case at no charge. #5. University hospitals have the best of the best doctors and are the leaders in their field

It could’ve been accutane or a dirtbike accident that happened . I never noticed the ED until I tried having sex with my GF at the time and couldn’t get erect. This was confusing because me and her have already been doing it plenty of times with no issue but all of the sudden After starting accutane I’m having issues. I thought of the possibility of performance anxiety but I never felt anxious or nervous with her , I felt super comfortable with her, me and her grew up together. I mentioned to her how I was having issues getting erect and she told me it was okay and she let me work with her to get comfortable but still nothing . I don’t like mentioning accutane being a possible cause because for some reason it offends people? They say there’s no possible way accutane caused it and it’s all in your head. I obviously stopped accutane the second I noticed this effect but I never returned to normal . I knew accutane was a possibility because when I searched it up there were thousands of men experiencing the same issues and theirs never resolved either. I didn’t get the worst of the worst though there’s some dudes whose complete bodies got messed up.

Ill vote for accutane, its a 5ari just like finasteride and durasteride. This stuff causes scar tissue and will eventually decrease your eretions. Sucks!!

I can only get an erection if i if I’m sitting down and start masturbating get somewhat erect and then quickly lay on my side and keep going at it but even then after like a minute it’ll go away. Also When I lay down I am fully erect for about 30 seconds until my glans go soft while my penis remains erect. So basically I can only get hard in certain positions but if I move it’ll instantly go soft.I try to get erect daily though 2x so I don’t lose all my size and that’s also why I don’t want to wait longer because I’ll only be losing size the more time I let pass.

Yep but nobody believes it when you tell them. I get where the post finasteride/accutane syndrome haters are coming from because some finasteride users were depressed from losing hair and were scared to try it because of all the experiences they’ve read and then when they try it and they get no side effects they say that those who do experience sides are just crazy and it’s all in their head which annoys me because it could happen to anyone , just because it didn’t happen to you doesn’t mean it wont happen to the next person . I’ve been inside those post finasteride syndrome forums but had to stop checking because all it was doing was making me feel hopeless reading all these stories of how people are living in misery, plus me going into those forums wasn’t going to help with anything since there isn’t a cure all it would do is just make me more depressed. This forum gives me hope though. I just want to get this fixed and over with so I can forget about this and finally start living.

Wow, I’m so sorry to hear about the issues you are having at such a young age. I would be frustrated too. I have read your posts and the responses. I have some thoughts you may want to consider. Sometimes to move forward, we need to take a step back, and that is what I’d suggest to you.
1. Not sure how many Urologists you have seen, but see if you can locate one covered under your Dad’s insurance that specializes in men’s sexual health. Go through the provider directory and lookup their websites to see what the specialize in. If you don’t click with him/her, try another until you find the one.
2. Reconsider trimix or quadmix. Yes, injecting yourself is not ideal, but it might resolve the issues you are experiencing. I started with Viagra, Cialis, and Stendra and like many have said here, they stopped working. Then I went to a men’s clinic specializing in ED, and got quadmix. It worked for me for over 10 years. At that point, I sought out a Urologist to get a stronger prescription. It was he who mentioned the implant to me. That sounded drastic to me, so I used the stronger quadmix for about a year when it was not always reliable. Contacted the Uro and scheduled implant surgery. I have the AMS LGX and the surgery and recovery went smoothly.
3. I have read about many guys on this site who have scheduled phone or online appointments with the large volume implanters. Clavell, Eid Hacky, Perito. A consultation with one of them might help in finding a path forward. I have a feeling they would take you seriously. They might be able to recommend someone near you.
Our frustrations can sometimes impede our progress. Be persistent and stay focused on attaining your goal.
I hope this doesn’t come across as bossy, but encouraging. You deserve to enjoy the pleasure your penis gives you and your partners.
Wishing you the best.

70 year old gay man. Implanted on January 27, 2022. Dr. Dan French, Dallas, TX. AMS 700, LGX. Began having ED issues before Viagra was on the market. Believe ED resulted from SSRI antidepressant medication.
