since asking the questions I researched teaching hospitals near Chicago. I didnt find anything promising. We have several excellent university hospitals in my area. (LA). I also researched accutane.. Super bad shit. One study even described the glans getting soft while shaft is hard. Accutane attacks your nerve receptors. If you took it for a long period your prognosis looks bleak. I react violently to several medications that no one else has ever had a problem with. One was an antibiotic commonly used. It caused the skin of my glans to shred off and bleed profusely. That continued for 3 years after I used the stuff. One medication to aid my digestive system. TOTAL depression. had no desire for sex or living for 3 moths. Stopped taking it and was normal 3 days later. You may be one of the 30% who react to Accutane. All my nerves were removed in a prostatectomy and I have an implant. Not a lot of feeling during sex. Soft numb cold glans some times. I dont know if an implant would even be worth it at 20. Life sucks.

Rick0219 wrote:Wow, I’m so sorry to hear about the issues you are having at such a young age. I would be frustrated too. I have read your posts and the responses. I have some thoughts you may want to consider. Sometimes to move forward, we need to take a step back, and that is what I’d suggest to you.
1. Not sure how many Urologists you have seen, but see if you can locate one covered under your Dad’s insurance that specializes in men’s sexual health. Go through the provider directory and lookup their websites to see what the specialize in. If you don’t click with him/her, try another until you find the one.
2. Reconsider trimix or quadmix. Yes, injecting yourself is not ideal, but it might resolve the issues you are experiencing. I started with Viagra, Cialis, and Stendra and like many have said here, they stopped working. Then I went to a men’s clinic specializing in ED, and got quadmix. It worked for me for over 10 years. At that point, I sought out a Urologist to get a stronger prescription. It was he who mentioned the implant to me. That sounded drastic to me, so I used the stronger quadmix for about a year when it was not always reliable. Contacted the Uro and scheduled implant surgery. I have the AMS LGX and the surgery and recovery went smoothly.
3. I have read about many guys on this site who have scheduled phone or online appointments with the large volume implanters. Clavell, Eid Hacky, Perito. A consultation with one of them might help in finding a path forward. I have a feeling they would take you seriously. They might be able to recommend someone near you.
Our frustrations can sometimes impede our progress. Be persistent and stay focused on attaining your goal.
I hope this doesn’t come across as bossy, but encouraging. You deserve to enjoy the pleasure your penis gives you and your partners.
Wishing you the best.

yeah ive definitely calmed down on all the stuff I was trying because either way I wasn't seeing a change. and I suppose I can try the trimix for a bit but with my experience with trt which I was injecting with small insulin syringes daily to keep stable blood levels just really made me even hate looking at syringes and needles. But regardless I will still try it for a bit . I did want to call Eid since he has alot of operations under his belt he might have worked with a young patient in the past which makes me believe he would take me seriously and like you said would at least help find a path forward. And of course it doesn't come off that way I need you guys .

Yeah accutane is bad as shit. and I only took it for a month before stopping , I did not notice any sensation loss though my only side effect from accutane was ED. I have fully accepted that Im not going to magically get better anymore, pretty much everyone who had this didn't get better. which is why ive been looking the implant route, Its like sure I can wait 20 years to get the implant but why would I. what's the difference going to be from getting it now than when I'm 40? an extra revision?maybe I'm wiser? . Id rather enjoy my life now and build up a future than wait to be 40 and have not been able to live my life to its fullest just because I waited for myself to hit a certain age. I know this surgery is permanent and once its done you can't get natural erections anymore but I wasn't getting them anyways so there's no difference.

Youngdeadpeener wrote:Hey I have so many questions on the implant process as honestly this is what I’ve fully decided on to finally get my life back. I’ll start with the questions then write my story
1. How does one work with a urologist that is distant from them? I see people are traveling to Nashville to get the implant but I’m wondering how are they working with the doctors if they’re such a far distance away ? Dr Levine in chicago is the closest one to me that has had people in this forum leave a good review and that’s who I want to work with. He is 2 hours away though so I don’t know how to even start the process.
2.has anyone reading this worked with Dr.Levine and if so what did your process look like and how much was it? Did insurance cover it?
3. How do you even mention the implant? Should I tell the doctor on the phone call that I’m interested in a implant or do I just tell him I’ve been battling with ED and see what he says from there?
4. I what did the process look like and how long did it take you from your first appointment to the actual day of the surgery?

Okay so now that that’s out of the way . I am a 20 year old and I’ve been suffering with ED since late 15 early 16. I’ve attempted getting help from urologists in the past and when I went to one he brushed me off and said it was in my head , the guy didn’t even want to test my hormones. I had to tell my parents I had ED and my dad went with me to the appointment and I had to explain to the doctor I have ED right infront of my dad and do you know how embarrassing that is? But this urologist still thought I was lying like what 16 year old is going to tell their parents they have ED and need help for the fuck it? After that experience I stopped relying on doctors for this issue and I took it into my own hands and I’ve tried so many things from natural to super toxic which I will list off

1.Cialis high dose
2.Daily cialis 5-10mg
?.viagra daily and high dose
3.So many vitamins and protocols found online
4.Trt with proper ancillaries such as an aromatase inhibitor (I’ve tried lowering my estrogen, raising my estrogen, super high testosterone levels, normal levels)
5.Anabolic steroids, my muscles respond but no improvement for erections (I have taken high testosterone, tren which is the most toxic steroid there is , proviron, masteron which are all super androgenic and if it was a hormonal issue / androgen deficiency I would’ve definitely have been fixed )
6.Penis pump ,still use and may be the only reason I haven’t lost much size since I started using it daily at 17 to not lose size, but doesn’t help with maintaining erection even with ring as it doesn’t get hard all the way
7.Penis ring
8.Vardenafil I think brand name is levitra
9.Pt 141
10.Melanotan II
11.Pramipexole and Cabergoline
12.Pelvic floor exercises
13.Fasting
14.Thc cbd 1:1 topical applied to area
15.Marijuana
16.Hcg
17. Enclomifene
18. Wellbutrin
19. Busporin
20. Almost tried ibogaine but people have died taking it so I pulled out last minute

I guess I’ve never tried tri mix but after injecting myself so many times with steroids I seriously do not want to inject myself everytime I want to get hard.
I know I look insane for trying all these things but it’s hard when you’re so young and you can’t really live your life, it gets really lonely . I would’ve never thought I would’ve been buying so many illegal drugs and taking them at this age . It seriously sucks but I’ve had enough and I need to get the implant, I don’t obsess over my ED like I used to because I had to for my mental health.I’m going to try again with doctors because I’m tired of not living the life I want to be living. I suspect it could be a venous leak as I can get hard in very certain positions but if I move it instantly goes soft and my glans go from hard to soft as well . Any help would be appreciated .

I would advise you start local and see a sexual medicine specialist near you. A lot of surgeons will not even take you seriously unless you have tried injections so you really should give bimix and trimix a try it is nothing like injecting steroids and you might like them. If however you do not like the injections or they do not work for you then I would recommend abandoning your resistance to travel for the implant and going to the best in the world which I believe would be EID, Hakky or Clavell because you are young and I assume want the best possible result. I'm also from the Midwest but traveled to see the best know too many guys that tried local and are unhappy with the results.

One of my buddies was able to get bimix via a virtual so that could be an option. Other sexual Health dr’s like to do an in person initial injection to see how you respond and train you on proper technique. Injections are easy and certainly any urologist with an andrology background can get you a script so I would go with whoever has shortest wait time for injections and at the same time get a surgical consult with Clavell planned.

Yeah you can do a virtual consult with Clavell. Tell them you're out of town and looking into ED solutions.

But he's a pretty busy guy and is booked out a month or two at least in advanced. You don't need him for trimix prescription just get that done by a local urologist. Most to all of them can do that easily.

It's a good idea to book Clavell though if you're considering the implant. He will give you a lot of context on the decision. Although I did ask him if it was crazy for me to consider the implant at 31 and he mentioned the main ones he's concerned about operating on are people in their 20's because that tends to be psychogenic but maybe he will be open to it if you had an injury that directly caused it.

Eid has operated on patients as young as 17 and he does virtual consultations. I talked to a guy who was implanted by him at 21 and is 35 now. He's doing great and has only had one revision so far.

I suspect it could be a venous leak as I can get hard in very certain positions but if I move it instantly goes soft and my glans go from hard to soft as well . Any help would be appreciated .

For me I schedule a phone consultation with clavell, told him pills have mostly stopped working and i dont want to try injections i am interested in an implantat. An hour later i was being scheduled for surgery. I read every post here on FT that sounded interesting back to 2018 before the appointment. Wrote down any questions. Super simple if you dont mind traveling. I chose Clavell because he is high volume and young, odds are he could do a revision if need.

Just scheduled a phone consultation with clavell!! I will have to wait until October 2nd though unless a slot opens up which I really hope it does but even if it doesn't atleast I'm making some progress. Did you have a long wait time until you had the consultation? and how long did you have to wait for the surgery after scheduling? Thanks for answering

I had to wait longer for the consultation than the surgery. I don’t remember exactly but it was like a month for the consultation and then a couple weeks to get surgery and the surgery part was only that long because i needed to schedule time off work. I took a week off, wish i could have done two weeks but it was fine. I have an office job, if you lift things you will want 2-3 weeks off if you can swing it. If you work from home i would have only needed a couple days.
