Since newbie443 & I have both commented on the length grow possibilities of the implants in the one study where they were inflated to 20 psi. I asked if men can generate 20 psi using the pumps. He claimed that most men can only get around 12 psi. He say that because of experience & such. He can get to 14 psi. I guess that really dedicated patients could probably match that. So looks like that is a factor to use when interpreting the studies data.
He did divulge some other info that I'll try to put into the appropriate threads over the next day or two.
Watch for my posts. Some info is interesting.

If you or others look at that study https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5654325/ Table one indicates a fair amount of gain for the LGX at 10 and 15 psi. On the other hand the Titan shows almost no gains at those lower pressures. So if the Titan does not expand and VED use post op does expand tissue. Will the result be floppy glans? Again is the LGX the only device that should be used with post op ved? Or maybe the Rigicon device if it does expand also. And maybe also exclude the CX. I have seen no date on the CX expansion. I can only guess that the only gains that would be possible would be in girth. The above study did show very minor girth gains for the LGX at those lower pressures and again basically none for the Titan at those levels.

On another note, my LGX with MS pump seems to have a bypass in it. That is after I pump up to max if I continue to pump or force pumps it seems to bypass the cylinders. I am depressing the bulb and forcing fluid out of it but it is not going into my cylinders. If I wait for some stretching to occur, then I can get a few more partial pumps that move fluid into the cylinders until the bypass again happens. I can pump in the bypass forever. I can tell the difference in those pumps also and now I just stop when I reach that point. If the MS pump does have a bypass function then the question is what PSI is it set at.

That's interesting. I can't really feel a bypass point in my pump. It does reach a point where I can only get very shallow squeezes, and I'm not inclined to abuse the equipment with extreme pressure.

As a newly implanted man that has used a VED pre and post op , and have touted the perceived benefits of it with little to no research.... I find the back and forth dialog fascinating ! I'd like to thank you 2 for sharing your knowledge and passion on the subject.

I pumped religiously for 4 months pre-op in preparation for the "big measure" implant day.

I've pumped periodically post op and although I can't say the gains are a result of the VED, I am 1/2" longer than I was at 6 weeks post. I'm now 6 months post. (6 5/8 to 7 1/8)

Since I consider myself (and my dick) an experience pumper, I'll do 5 minutes at 10 in. Hg, then rest for 10 minutes, then 5 more at 10in., and so on, for 60 minutes total. This keeps the 'donut' under my glans from getting too big and unsightly, yet still giving me the stretch and plump feeling. For the first few months after being released to cycle I did this daily. Now maybe 4 times a week.

I asked Dr. Clavell about it, and he said it was up to me whether I wanted to or not. When I asked him about efficacy, he said that it could be helpful, but to his credit he stated that his goal is to heal the man to the point where he's not thinking about his penis or his perceived deficiencies that need some sort of mechanical help or additional effort. He encouraged me to use my implant as designed whenever I'd like to for however long I'd like to, then put it away and live my life as if ED never affected me. I can see the wisdom in that counsel.

I can get to the point of pain in my glans, which is where I stop pumping.

I had a problem after surgery and my doctor told me to inflate to the maximum I could as the distal cylinder tips were out of my glans. I had to do a lot of work for a long time to get those tips up into my glans. That is when I was really inflating to max to get this to happen and noticed the bypass function. It was more of a question about the study showing cylinder expansion at different PSI and what the pump was set to. I had read this bypass was to prevent over inflating of the LGX. But that again is just what I have read posted on this site and nothing I can remember seeing for a manufacturer. There was a member on this site some years ago and I see him on here every once in a while that used long pump adding inflations that showed great results. I did do that and had those results out past 1 year. But we are all different and I had a lot of size loss from ED. I still have some of that size loss and I have greatly decreased my cycling since I recovered to just under 1" less than my healthy youthful size. My original doctor had known about what he called forcing pumps. And said there was not a need for it right after surgery. I did wait 3 months and being fully healed to do the pump adding inflations. Don't know if my pump is just screwy as I did have other problems with my pump. Others have used pump adding cycling even without feeling the bypass. And I replied to a post from a member about his pump bulb not getting rock hard like what he had read from others. Maybe some pumps just have a higher or lower bypass pressure. No 2 are exactly the same so this may explain this other than some men abusing the device. I have weak hands and lot of trouble getting a quick full first pump to pop the valve into inflate mode. Read of one member with hands so bad he had to put a washcloth on a countertop and put the bulb on it and use his palm to push down and compress the pump. I can't remember if that was only in the beginning until the pump soften. I hope it was.

Anyway it is those shallow or micro pumps that is where I get the bypass. If I keep doing those and try to get to max possible inflation I will feel it give way a bit. That is when I stop. I was at the point where the stretching feeling went away after I inflated to max. After 5 or more minutes. When that went away I would pump again to the point of feeling more stretching. If I had pain I would deflate and try again at my next cycling. I was doing twice a day for up to an hour. I did have some pain in my glans due to the distal cylinder tips ending up misplaced. I took my glans (thumb on top index and middle fingers on bottom) and pulled them away from me and the end of the cylinder tips. I then used my other hand to reposition the distal tips. If you are still having glans pain at 6 months post surgery you might try just gently stretching your glans way from the tips and see if that helps and they will heal. It did help mine.

Thanks Newbie.
The glans pain only happens when I've been pumped to max for about an hour.
I pump up fully at bedtime, and I'll usually wake up sometime later from the discomfort, at which time I deflate slightly and go back to sleep.
Still trying to gain a bit more size. LOL

My tip cycling pain shows up as an itching feeling below my glans. I think I'd prefer a little pain over an itchy feeling.
