Hello,
I’m attaching a photo of my pump on my 4th week post surgery (and i’m seroma free now and can touch the pump without any pain) i’m still not advised to cycle and will see my Dr in few days after completing my 4 weeks and he told me that he might advise me to start cycling.
My question did anyone faced such a position for the pump and is it true that it will come down because thats what the Dr said?

Re: Pump Position Advise
I have the pump in the same place, I contacted my doctor after a couple of weeks after the surgery, I wanted the pump behind the testicle like most here, thinking to hide it better, my doctor told me it was well positioned with me it was , but I could pull it a little, little by little, to make it go down as I preferred, I tried 3/4 times, little by little, I didn't get anything, for fear of breaking some tube I gave up, after 30/40 days I realized which was perfect at that point, it didn't feel like it at all and it didn't cause any discomfort, now I'm very happy to have the pump in that point

Based on the absence of an incision site on your scrotum, it appears you were infrapubic. I can only base my opinion on what i observe relative to my pump. yours seems exceedingly high and prominently visible to the most casual observer.
Mine sits low, aft of both testicles, just forward of the perinium. Even with my legs spread wide open (not a usual posture for me, btw), nobody could tell there is a pump at all. Never had to pull at all.
I was penoscrotal, but am curious to hear from the infrapubic brethren exactly how much pulling was required and if anybody had a pump this high that pulling was able to conceal.
As always, your doctor is your go-to for the final word.

Re: Pump Position Advise
I think infrapubic gives more control to the surgeon on positioning of the reservoir, while penoscrotal allows good positioning of the pump. I am infrpubic, and I also have the pump in front of the testicles. In my case, I had hernia mesh and the surgeon needed to place the reservoir carefully.

Many thanks for the response and glad to hear this!
I don't want to do any pulling myself eventhough I was advised to try but worried of any potential damages!
I guess will wait and see.

Yes my incision is infrapubic and the visibility was assured by my Dr that it won't be an issue. Moreover the angle of the pic is not how I usually sit but wanted to show in the pic.

100% relevant to what my surgeon mentioned as he said that he doesn't prefer penoscrotal. And recommended the infrapubic.

Re: Pump Position Advise
I would like to point out that at the beginning it bothered me a lot, I couldn't sit down without discomfort, I bought 2 cushions and a donut cushion to sit on and not have the pump rest on the armchairs or chairs, a cushion in the car, one in the work, one at the table, they had the hole right under the pump, after 2/3 months no need and I could also go by motorbike or bicycle, I go up the stairs 2 at a time, no impediment or discomfort, the only impediment is that it self-inflates up to a certain point and it becomes heavy, it comes off, and every now and then I have to adjust it, I wore the sock for up to 6 months that I felt comfortable, perhaps I could go back to using it, I too have been infrapubic and have a 125 ml tank, never any problem

Thanks a lot! This gives me comfort to know that such discomfort is temporary. I bought so far 3 types of cushions to explore what is best and planning to take one to work since I'm going back next week after 4 weeks of sick leave.
May I know what do u mean by wearing sock? I bought some underwear with dual pouches that feels much comfortable (when I'm not bottmless) specially when I'm inflated post op.

He’s probably referring to a baby sock. Glans will be somewhat sensitive these first few weeks with your constant chub. Cut the elastic off the sock and put it on like a little cap. Wear even if you’re hanging free at home (i did. kept it warm) and especially when wearing clothes.
Buy a bundle so you can change into a clean one daily.
