Ended up having 4 surgeries due to how much the infection grew. They should do a culture on rhe fluid inside to see what antibiotic to fight it.

Thanks idk why they haven’t done a culture. They just been hitting me with random antibiotic. Did you have to have your implant explanted?

Finding from the ultrasound below any clue what this means??

1. **Testicles:** Both testicles appear normal in terms of their structure and position. The right one measures 5.5 x 2.9 x 3.6 cm, and the left one measures 5.4 x 2.5 x 2.9 cm.

2. **Testicular Microlithiasis:** There's a condition called limited testicular microlithiasis, which means small calcium deposits are present. You should have annual check-ups to monitor this, but it's not a major concern.

3. **Epididymal Finding:** In the left epididymal head, there's a small cyst (0.4 cm) that appears somewhat complex, possibly a spermatocele. It's not a significant issue.

4. **Hydroceles:** You have small hydroceles, which are collections of fluid around the testicles. These are relatively common and usually not serious.

5. **Scrotal Hardware (Penile Implant/Pump):** There's some uncertainty regarding the evaluation of scrotal hardware related to a penile implant or pump. The soft tissues in the upper right part of the scrotum seem different and more blood flow is observed, which might suggest infection, possibly cellulitis. There's no clear sign of an abscess, but the possibility of hardware infection isn't ruled out.

6. **Scrotal Vessels:** There are prominent blood vessels in the scrotum, which could be varicoceles. This is a condition where the veins in the scrotum are enlarged.

In summary, your testicles look mostly normal. There are some minor findings like microlithiasis and a small cyst in the epididymal head. The presence of scrotal hardware is noted, with some indications of possible infection, but it's not conclusive. You also have small hydroceles and prominent scrotal vessels, which may be varicoceles.

Sounds like there might be a possibility of an infection per the intrasound results. I would follow up with your dr for more clarification. When I had the infection the first surgeon tried removing just the infected side implant and the pump and left the other side and installed a malleable were he took the one out. After a month the infection was still there so he went in and cleaned everything up. that didn’t work so I went to another surgeon where he removed the entire implant. It was only after the infection was cleared for about 6 months that he went back in and installed the implant again.

Did you have an abscess they could culture? Per my ultrasound the doctor said I had no abscess so nothing to culture

Sorry, but to me your report dances around your issue. They spent most of the time writing about your nuts. Get a clue guy, my sack is sick. Not interested if my nuts look normal. I don't think an ultrasound is a very good method to show infections. Failure to get a fluid sample seems to me to be a glaring mistake. My lab work prior to my surgery showed a bacteria that they cultured that day. Then gave me a specific antibiotic. I don't understand why your situation would deserve less.
I hate to be the guy spending your money. The ER's are over their heads with this. Us implanted men don't fit into the medical system perfectly.
My suggestion is a local urologist that has some understanding about implants or back to Hakky.
We've never met. Only a fellow forum member. You have to decide whats best for you. But I do not see where he provided you any help & did a CYA on the chance of infection. Shoddy work in my opinion.
I truely do wish you the best luck & outcome. Just make sure that you're at peace with your decision.

Forgot to add. They can do a fluid draw to culture it. Sampling the mass isn't needed.

Thx for the words of wisdom GT I haven’t been very impressed with Urology at this hospital so far the attending uro told me he doesn’t know much about implants he is mostly a cancer guy. Anyways just confirms what we all know penile implants are a highly specialized division of urology.

Anyways, the good news is they are doing what Hakky advised which is take antibiotics and see him Tuesday if it’s not resolved.

Update:

I’m being discharged from the hospital my swelling had gone down my balls still remain red though. Hakky advised I take caverdol (beta blocker) for the redness and said he can see me Tuesday if I don’t feel better.

Also have some oral antibiotics from the hospital doc for at home.

Ultimately I still don’t know if it was a device infection or just swollen from biking and fucking this week.

I'd have to check the exact spelling. I've taken that for high blood pressure. Works great for me. Be warned, prolific dreaming is a known side effect. Mine was so bad my dr moved me to a different drug in the same class. Still get frustrating type dreams just not as bad.
