Last minute tips and tricks?

I’m scheduled for my implant with Dr Youssef on Tuesday…anyone have any tips for me? Should I wear sweatpants (I pretty much only wear jeans) Anything I should have on hand for the recovery process? I’m pretty nervous, but can’t eat to have something that works again

I would have hoped you scoured past posts for the answers you seek now, only days before your surgery. Preparation is key to a comfortable journey through recovery.

I never measured my stretched flaccid length and took a pic. I regret that. Wish I did that the night before. Not necessarily important, but might be good to know your pre-implant size.

My implant surgery was 10 days ago. Like everyone who undergoes such a surgery, I was prescribed antibiotics. A possible side effect of these drugs is diarrhea. I had a lot of trouble with that myself. It is not pleasant (and hygienic) if you have to run to the toilet ten times a day in the week after your surgery.

My doctor eventually prescribed loperamide (2mg), which helped with the diarrhea but does not hinder the absorption of antibiotics by the body. Loperamide is available without a prescription (al least in my country). I would recommend that you get this in advance.

Lots of ice packs, a comfy couch, books/movies and food. Plan to chill for at least a week, maybe more. Take any pain meds as needed. Sweatpants to the surgery to wear coming home. I wore just a bathrobe the first few days. Best of luck!

Those first days bionic crawl by. You’ll never be more obsessed with your dick than you will be those first 4-6 weeks. I literally woke up every morning with my first thought being “day 2….day 7….day 9…etc”. I envied those brothers several months ahead of me, reporting their stories of swelling gone, pain gone or diminishing, and reports of their early sexual exploits. At that time those things seemed impossibly far out in the future.

But here i am now. 10 months post op. An erection like a steel pipe. Having sex in every imaginable position. A great girlfriend who adores it (she’ll even do some of the pumping honors). A shower not a grower any longer.

It’s a process. For me impatience was the greatest challenge. Oh. Use ice those first few days as you’re kicked back on the couch. Lots of ice.

Well hopefully they use a long acting pain blocker during surgery, but best advice is loose pants / sweatpants at first, tight underwear to try to help keep your penis pointed up, and ice, ice, and more ice. After my surgery ( both times ) my scrotum was swollen to about the size of a softball, no pain to speak of, just the discomfort of having swollen balls.
