The distal & proximal measurements are not from the pubic bone as we think. I'm not sure of the tissues name but I think the edge of it is where the tunica is entered at. I'll point to my own surgery. I have a 21cm implant. Pre surgery I was only dreaming about getting 21cm's. I forget which measurement was which but my distal was either 10cm or 11cm. Hold that thought. My pre surgery stretch test was 12.5cm. So my measurements were done either 2.5cm or 1.5cm IN FRONT of my pubic bone. This tells me that the starting point for distal & proximal are definitely only moderately related to the pubic bone.
Sorry but that data doesn't help the OP one iota. Reading what he has posted makes me ask a few questions. Btw, his dr was well regarded in the past. But yes errors can happen. OP says that he has loose skin on his shaft. His girth is listed as being 4 inches. I propose that to better understand his issue a few more questions need to be answered. Has he been circumcised? How far back was he circumcised? Years prior to his ED & implant did he have loose shaft skin. This would help put the loose skin into perspective.
Where I'm going is to armchair diagnose that his pump isn't working for shit. He doesn't say that he gets to empty pumps like he has ran out of saline. To me the next step seems to blame the pump. I'd guess the valving isn't delivering the needed pressure to expand the cylinders. I'm not well versed on hydraulics but I'm pretty sure if you're not getting the output you shold be getting. The pump is NFG. But the questions that I taised need to be answered first.

The distal and proximal measurements are done while the patient is on the operating table and usually unconscious. Once an opening is cut into the penis and tunica albuginea a measuring tool is inserted into the incision and inserted forcefully into the inside of the tip of the penis. "Forcefully" can also accurately be described as "rammed". In the videos of the operation it is quite startling. The length noted on themeasuring tool from incision to distal tip is noted. Then the tool is inserted from the incision down into the pelvic crus and the proximal measurement is noted. Of course, the location of the incision has a great bearing on the measurements, but the sum of the two should be the same no matter if the surgeon made the incision close to the penis base or somewhere up the shaft. Same procedure whether the surgery is infra-pubic or penoscrotal.

Totally aware of the process. I was off topic some. I was commenting more towards the common thoughts on how much of the implant is proximal on average. To the best of my memory no member has ever given an example of his distal to his stretched test. I did that to illustrate that the tunica incision does not correspond to the pubic bone.
I felt that it would be helpful to newer members to learn that vs not being aware of it.
Bottom line is that the depth of the cruz is variable by a lot amongst men.
Like I posted. I was only dreaming that I could get 21cm of implant. I had hopes that my surgery table measurement would be better than my stretch test. I got 21cm & the stretch test wasn't very far off.
Thus I'm doing my best to make this CX explode. Well, ok. Not really explode but close as I can get. My max cycling is still uncomfortable after 6 months.
I guess another way to look at my numbers. I'm not sure that there is an implant that would accommodate an exceptionally long dick & a deep cruz.
I feel that this kind of info should be available to members.

The 18cm AMS only requires a 100ml if using the concealed resovoir. 65ml is sufficient with using the other one, according to the AMS documentation

I have the LGX 21cm, and my doctor's notes say he installed a 65ml reservoir.
However, the card I got after surgery has the serial number sticker for a 100ml reservoir, and that is what is recommended for the 21cm LGX.
I don't like that there is a discrepancy, but I suspect I actually have the 100ml. Why else would they have opened the 100ml package and included that sticker?
Either way, I can pump until the bulb, and my penis is rock hard, with no indication of emptying the reservoir.
Age 59. AMS 700 LGX 21cm + 2cm RTE.
Peniscrotal, 2/23.
6.25" OEM with Cialis, about 5" post-op. (11/01: Length 6.75" and girth is up to 4.75" mid shaft.) Still growing, albeit slowly. :D
Cycling daily. Hoping to get to 7". ;)

I’m implanted with a Titan but I feel my biggest gains after implant were due to doing the Perito exercises. I’ve also heard of people getting gains as far out as 1-1/2 years so maybe not all hope is gone. After 10-12 months I stopped doing Perito exercises as my implant hit very soft when flaccid. That was the goal of the exercises so I feel I maxed them out and stopped. By 14 months I was pumping my resivour empty, but with a rock hard dick about the same as pre implant while on trimix. Also up on girth. I feel you probably have room to grow yours but might require a lot of exercises THt at times can get uncomfortable, would think more likely after waiting this long.

Some good comments thus far, fill out your signature so we better understand you.
My 2 cents is,, are you pumping and stretching, at a year you should be at 40 pumps I would think? We have similar equipment.
Full two handed full squeeze pumps.?
Good luck bro

I'm exactly in this case !
Just a CX instead a LGX.

Even for the model. It was said to me before about a LGX, and finally I saw "CX" on the sticker. Maybe the better choice during the surgery itself. And a very good way for me now!
