I iced from my taint to the tip and from my pubis to the tip for about a week, 24/7. I purchased some of those long refillable ice bags (they gave me one at the hospital) and could stand that up between my legs to the tip, and then added another bag of ice on the 'top' of my penis and wrapped the whole thing with velcro gauze. It was like a penis hoagie with a little bit of sausage poking out the top.

I'm VERY happy Dr. Clavell does not routinely use catheters, from what I've read here on FT that seems to be a common pain point.

So its 2.5 days post op and i havent had to poop yet. Did ur doctors give u any meds for this?
Im in no pain now but im scared if i get constipated in the future

The Docs gave me Colace but I also used my wife’s fiber powder Polyethylene Glycol 3350 and I would mix it Crystal Lite drink powder.
Something else I would do to make it easier for the stool to come out without a lot of pain was to use hemorrhoid cream, cheap Walmart equate brand.

Day 4:
I completely stopped taking all my pain meds. No idea why my doctor prescribed over 100 pills... I just take tylenol a couple times if needed.
My balls are still bruised. Noticed a new yellow brusing on my lower abdomen today that hasnt been there before.
Still haven't taken my first poop yet. Bought some restoralax so hope that helps.
Worried that my pumps been placed too low. Its pushing against my nutsack and is sensitive.
I can pee fine but at the end some drops of blood come out, assuming its from the catheter they had in place.
My back is starting to get sore from laying around all day and cant sleep on my side yet.... Can't wait to fast forward a week or two...

Day 5:
STILL HAVENT POOPED!
Todays my third day im taking miralax, drinking lots of water. Tried to kickstart things today with a cup of coffee but that just made me fart a bit. Gonna also start drinking a cup of prune juice daily starting today to get this log out of me. I am not constipated / dont feel any pain or bloating and still fart on occasion which is good.
I completely stopped taking any pain meds as of yesterday. I dont even take tylenol anymore.
Balls are still swollen and blue, but they are getting smaller / better. My abdomen still has a slight yellow bruise, assuming from the reservoir.
My balls skin is also peeling like i had a sunburn. From what I read on this thread that is normal and nothing to worry about.
Ice is still my best friend. I pretty much ice my nuts all day otherwise the swelling is uncomfortable.
I can walk for like 15-30 mins but having a swollen sack dangling between ur legs makes it tough.
I also cant move the pump around my suck. It is way too tender to touch. Looks like my dr put that pump reaaal low.

Day 6:
I FINALLY POOPED THIS MORNING
Big sigh of relief. I did take Restoralax every morning for 4 days to finally get the bowels going. Hoping my bowels will be back to normal after this.

My urethra (pee hole) has been dripping blood after I pee. Usually 1-5 small drops. I suspect its from the foley catheter removal. It hurt like fucking hell. Last night I had a bit of a scare as it bled alot more than usual 10-15 drops. Thankfully today the bleeding has stopped.

My nuts swelling has gone down I'd say 50%. My skin colour is still black/blue from all the bruising but the colour looks like its fading. My balls skin is still peeling.

The pump is placed behind my left testicle for now. My right testicle is chilling in the sack. My left testicle is kind of sitting above the pump. The pump feels very low in my sack and pushing the skin down. The skin is still sensitive to touch so I haven't tried touching or moving the pump yet.

The reservoir (100ml) is on my left side in the lower abdomen. I can literally feel it when I touch my skin. When I touch that area it feels very firm and visually the skin is a bit more raised than the right side. Hoping the reservoir is less noticeable over time.

Day 7:
Officially been a week since i joined the brotherhood.
Swellings gone down almost fully. Bruising is almost fully healed.
Still hurts a bit when I'm moving around so spend most of my day laying.
Not using any ice or painkillers anymore.

Looks like my healing journey is almost done! Cant wait to start using it

Day 9 update:
Swelling and swollen has gone down 90%.
No longer in pain or discomfort. Just taking it easy as I move around.
Next time I post will be when I start to cycle.

For anyone reading this in the future. Your first week post-op is the most nerve-racking.
I was only in pain on the first day from the foley catheter. Day 2 and on was painless (after catheter removal) but lots of swelling and discomfort till day 8. Ice is your best friend. I had my ice on nuts (frozen peas) 24/7.
Make sure to take a stool softener like Miralax for the constipation from pain meds post op. I didn't need narcotic pain meds after the first day. Tylenol was good enough from day 2 and onwards.
Blood dripping after you pee is normal for the first week (could be damage from catheter or the small hook they used during surgery). It should clear up after day 7 like it did for me.

Week 3 update:
My first 9 days were a struggle but my life's pretty much back to normal now.
I have an appointment Dec 1 to learn how to cycle my pump.
I am officially back to work, back in the gym, and doing house chores alone ie I changed my cars tires.
Doctor said my pumps stuck, so I take hot baths everyday and pull/massage on the pump and hope it comes loose one day. My pump is low in my scrotum so I aint too worried if it never gets unstuck. Easy to access area.

Sounds like great progress if you’re feeling this good by week 3! My surgery is next week and I’m hoping for the same type of recovery. Keep us updated.

Congratulations, glad it’s going well. Now is the hardest part of an implant in my opinion. You are on this possiblys high ( which is fantastic) but please heal and let that process happen in a another month you’ll feel great, but in a few months it will be even better, in a year you will hardly feel bionic. What im saying is relax a year is short time and its all good now bud, let us know how the test drive goes. Cheers mate
