Many surprises & changes await you after surgery.

I'll list a few that caught my attention. Probably the biggest change to me was that I could stop sex to go pee. Even when I was very young. Doing that meant that I would lose my erection. But it could be recovered but usually not as hard as before peeing. I'm sure that guys know the "piss hard on" phrase. My wife really liked the extra hardness of the piss hard on. She was a good sport about me losing it but it changed the experience for her.

Even my CX is just "different"at flacid. Yes, most will say its now a shower but its surprising to me. Sometimes I need to reposition it more than I ever did before. Kind of reminds me of a minor semi erection after having sex. Just its "there" feeling. Evenbafter 6+ months. Hard to describe.

Be prepared to gradually lose any "wow you're really hard" comments. I don't know about most women but my wife could gage my erections better than I could. Girth is important but the hardness of whatever girth you have is a very big factor to women. I think they read it as you're really turned on by them signal. Us men fail to consider the hardness of our girth. Ya, we're too focused on the visual size. Women can tell hardness really well. Your partner might stop noticing when you're extra hard because you're ALWAYS extra hard. But be careful, its easy to be "too" hard. You need to read the little hidden signals that she might give you on how hard to be. Pay attention guys.

As a side note to the hardness. My wife dates the start of my ED farther back by several years than I do. She could tell that the hardness of my erections was diminishing. I didn't notice.

It might take some time to get accustomed to that sex doesn't have to stop after you ejaculate. Occasionally I would trick my wife into thinking that I had cum. A few strategic thrusts & a few kegles was all it took. Of course sex continued. That never failed to really excite her. I think your partner will really like that sex doesn't stop at your cumming.

As they say, " hold on to your hats". Lots of stuff will change. Men are focused on what WE see as being changed. Women will focus on what they "feel" has changed. Reading those signals will really benefit you because women will seldom verbalize those feelings.

Sorry guys, another long rambling post.

Excellent perspective. My gal likes it pumped up HARD. Her reaction to it in turn is very arousing. It’s her reaction that kicks in for me the natural swelling in the glans. When i’m about to cum it’s obvious to her and she bucks like a wild pony. In the past that thrashing was distracting and might cause me to lose focus, and my wood. Not anymore!

Thanks for all the very informative and indepth replies guys :-) really good community here.

My main concern wasn't my flaccid size after implant it was my erect size after implant; I was worried that due to my smaller flaccid size 4.5" that would be how they measure up the implant size and therefore only giving me an approx 5" erect size when in reality I'm about 6.25" erect or I used to be around 7" before my years of ED!

But it sounds like that shouldn't be an issue if they stretch the penis to fit the biggest implant possible.

I have my urology follow up on 28th December after the doppler ultrasound showed venous leak (83cm/s in and 18cm/s out) so will see what steps are next with the NHS if there is some other treatment, 20mcg caverject only gave me around 80% hardness for about 2-3mins so it looks more and more that implant will be the way to go at some point soon

You have all put my mind at ease a bit, although only almost 37 I don't want to live my life like this! So if I have to get an implant and deal with 2-3 revisions throughout my lifetime so be it atleast I can have sex and not be alone!

To cut a long story short, almost 37 years old, had ED for around 8-9 years now which used to respond to oral medication but no longer, have tried caverject 20mcg with no luck and had doppler ultrasound which confirmed VL; have a follow up end of December.

I'm starting to think that an implant may be the only realistic way to go if I want to have a normal sex life at all and save my mental health! So been researching

My main concern is I'm a grower not a shower; so flaccid I'm around 4.5" length and 4" girth and 80% erect (about all I can get to forcing myself!) Is 6.25" length and 5" girth.

When measuring up for implant how do they go about it? Will they say inject me with carverject and let me get to around 80% erect and use that as measurement or go for a flaccid which would be small!

Thanks

AllI can tell you is that during my 3 years ED I was 1.5 inches after prostrate removal. After implant and one year in I'm almost back to 6 length and girth. It took awhile from the beginning but still getting growth. Cycle and pump!! I should have no libido due to Orgovyx med for cancer with almost zero testosterone level and I'm chasing my wife around the house all of the time. GL to ya.

Just ask your surgeon to describe the process of measuring your penis and ask how aggressively he will do it.

First, there is no way to stretch your penis over an implant. The tunica is way to strong to do that.

This is how its done. After all the operating table measurements are done. An implant is selected. Lets say you measured at 22cm & you're getting a CX. The doctor will get a 21cm CX from the factory representative that is right there in the operating room. The dr will then attach 1cm of rte's to the cylinders to reach the 22cm that your penis measured. This will be inserted in you penis along with the pump & reservoir. Very simple process.

At my first nurses check up. She quickly felt my penis to verify that the implant tips were centered in my head. This verifies that I was sized correctly. There isn't any unused penis to put more implant in.

No stretching of the penis over the implant is done. Hopefully you'll be doing your cycling as recommended by your dr. At least for AMS brands of implants. They can stretch with frequent cycling. Some Titan owners report similar growth but growth with either owners is not assured. It is up to the patient to do the cycling & can take over a full year to get the max possible.

LS is politely telling you the same as me. I'm not quite as polite, but this is how its done.

The surgeon's notes from my operation showed one extra step. He said: "Once the implant was seated, rapid inflation demonstrated good cosmetic result with the tips in the mid glans. No buckling or crossover. We decided to upgrade it to 1.5 cm rear tips and the cosmetic look was better."

In other words, he measured, he tested, and then based on the test he added an additional 0.5 cm in RTE (rear tip extender). That gave me confidence that he had sized me correctly.
Implanted June, 2022 by Dr. Karpman. 22cm Titan with 1.5cm RTE.

You will be a shower after your surgery. I was a grower before but now when I walk naked my dick slaps on my thigh, it’s a wonderful feeling.
