Tube location on shaft.

My initial surgery proximal measurement (inward) was only 7cm. With my current 26 cm Titan, the protruding joint where the tubes enter the cylinders is about 2 cm out onto the shaft. I don’t have any rte’s as that would only make the situation worse. The large lump on the penis is uncomfortable and annoying. With the array of sizes and options to make fin adjustments with rte’s, there does not appear to be any adjustment for short proximal and long distal anatomy. Is anyone aware of options for this situation?

I seem to recall that AMS sells implants two different ways. One way is mainly pre assembled. Only the reservoir needs to be filled & tubing crimped. This helps reduce tubing failures.
The other way is all individual parts that need to be assembled.
But there is one minor difference. The area where the tubing joins the cylinders is lower on one of the models. Not sure but maybe Coloplast does something similar.
Do some reseach for pictures of implants. You might find a model that works better for shallow cruz's. Down side would be a revision.

With only 7cm proximal into his cruz. Anywhere the dr entered the cavernosa would be pretty forward in my opinion. If I remember correctly I had 10cm proximal. 3cm difference would bring his tubing exit almost 1 1/4" forward from mine. Now bear in mind I think I had a deep cruz. So my pump is fairly high. So I'm guessing that the tubing on a pre assembled implant isn't very long.

I guess the take away on my point is that we both might of got slightly better results if the tubing length could of been customized a little. I'm not a dr. Just coming to some conclusions based upon the results that I see.

The issue is where the tubing comes out of the implant. Obviously it’s too late now but if you had infrapubic it would have given them more proximal length to hide the exit point. Titan has a special set of implants for infrapubic which I assume is so the exit point is further up the implant. I’ve also read where a dr can trim some of the distal tip off the implant to allow it to go deeper into the crux.
