Was specifically told, no weights for six weeks. Uncertain how long until heavy weights. That said, I do life as I always did now (I can bench 300).

Would absolutely NOT do MMA. No way. One wrong hit to the groin, and you may need a replacement.

I'd give it a good 4-6 months before you start taking impacts to the mid section. Anything after that and you'll be fine..

4-5 weeks in I slowly got back into weights again. Nothing heavy. I eased my way back into it. By week 8 I was hitting the heavy stuff again.

The only time you'll notice the implant is if you lay forward on benches for exercises like; Bench bent over rows. You'll feel it OR shoulder pressing. I've managed to inflate some on that BUT once I learned how to position correctly it's not so much a problem anymore.

MMA I would be careful. Even a year and half installation if I hit something with my dick incorrectly or rougher sex, ouch. No damage but ouch. Especially the head.

Yikes! This is the first I have read about still having sensitivity (the bad kind) after 18 months. I'm only just over a week out, but I had certainly expected to have rough sex within 3 months on the outside. It's kind of difficult to avoid rough sex in my circumstances.

Thanks guys, think I'll give MMA a miss, tbh it's just a hobby anyway and much prefer my weight lifting

Yeah I was thinking on movements where you are pressed to bench like lying hamstring curls would be an issue also things like leg press where it creates alot of pressure in groin/balls I can imagine inflating during that :P

Jiu Jitsu would probably be pretty safe.
Most of the time you're rolling around on the ground looking for escapes and submission holds.
But obviously any hard shot to your extremities and you may regret it....

I was a marathon runner until 2021 when I had my left hip replaced, but it was a trade off process and I understood this.

With an IPP there ARE some trade-offs, just a brutal fact of reality.

Best wishes to you.
