Hi
Looking to purchase some reusable ice packs on Amazon.
What kind of ice packs did you guys use?
I see some vasectomy. Wonder if those would be good as well.
Thanks

My local big box store doesn't carry the old school ice cube style anymore. I wanted the ice cube style so the cold water would conform to my body. My fridge dispenses large or nugget cubes so I could pack a lot of ice in it.
The hospital sent me home with one. At the last minute the nurse gave me a spare. I only used the first one. Despite it being a cheap disposable design it worked great for the few days that I needed it.
Remember, you're usually advised to move from icing to heat at some point in your recovery. I used my cheap Walmart heating pad more than the ice packs.
You mentioned vasectomy. If the ice packs are wide enough to reach your sack then that style should work. I wouldn't be willing to pay extra for something fancy that I'd only use for a few days.
As has been mentioned, something shaped like a one pound plastic bag of beans works fine. Even frozen peas or corn works. This isn't a space launch complicated type thing. Cheap & easy works.
Good luck.
