8 days post op for me....still taking hydrocodone every few hours....bruising on and around testicles lightening up but a bruising ring above my penis is causing quite a bit of pain-especially when I get up and move around much I called my doctor yesterday for pain medication refill and they told me if not better by tomorrow I needed to come in.
As far as feelings down there, any cool breeze brings both arousal and aching afterwards.

As far as I could inform me, Dr. Burnett seems to be one of the most excellent surgeons in the field... not just surgeon, also great researcher.

Frustrated with perspective...

I'm just about three weeks out and I look almost completely healed. I have NO swelling. NO bruising. NO more stitches. The wound is red, but almost gone. It is vertical and I anticipate that it will be unnoticeable shortly.

With all this progress, I put on jeans for the first time last night and we took the kids to see Christmas lights. From time to time I felt an uncomfortable twitch "down stairs." So ya, it didn't feel so great and I was looking forward to getting back home. We were out for a couple of hours so it was not so bad that it ruined the night. But oh well. Still much improved vs. this time last week. Then there is my wife, she looked great. I mean real good and all I wanted to do was get home, put the kids to bed and have at it, but I couldn't. I was frustrated and woke up early this morning. I came to Franktalk.org and read all of the advice and stories posted by my brothers here. Then I went to the AMS site and read up on my LGX and found some literature I had not seen before. Even the company recommends not pumping until 4-6 weeks out.

So I stepped back from the preverbal ledge and got some perspective back:

A. This is surgery and I have to respect that.
B. My recovery is every bit as good so far as I could wish for.
C. My wife will still look that good in three more weeks
D. Quit whining and put the violin away.

Alright, guys, I hope this was not too much of a damper for you. Recovery is a process I guess and it has to play itself out. No regrets.

P,
i would say, excellent RE-evaluation on your part. Although my surgery is not until March 11th, i got my surgery packet and it states my return appt (first post-op) to be April 28th. I checked with someone I had been e-mailing that had surgery from say surgeon if that was not a long period for first appt. He replied that it was right at six weeks before he went back and that he left inflated at 10-20%. So, perhaps each surgeon looks at their cases different. My PI is to be Titan (at present) and the other fellows was a AMS.

Hang with it....I bet she will look even better in three more weeks.

Hi,
the twitches will go by; what will stay is a somehow uncommon body feeling in the genital part of your body. But you'll get around to managing this. The 15 years with my Mentor were great, but in some sitting situation on some kinds of chairs I used to feel quite uncomfortable. I accepted that and deemed it a bearable trade off for some fascinating features. Your body is different compared to before and you have something in it, that's it.

The 4-6 weeks pumping abstination are important because of the reservoir's s hollow beneath your abdomen. It's not for sparing your penis, not at all. If the cavern around the reservoir which suscitates soon after implantation ansd forms its definite shape after 6 weeks will result too tight at the end of the day, you'll encounter problems regarding durability of the reservoir part of your implant. The reservoir needs enough space for extension when being refilled with all the amount of fluid in your system. Otherwise there will be pressure and wearing off. That's all about that point!

Greetings from the snow laden east... I'm officially three weeks post op and only 18 days and 14 hours away from activation :D. Can't wait. Anyway, I'm feeling really good today. In fact, I completely forgot for a while that I had anything done. Good stuff right? So, I got dressed and went to work for the first time since Nov 14th. Aside from people asking how I was and where I have been, it was a real normal event. Wearing regular pants was no problem at all. Since I commute over 50 miles each way to the office I was a little concerned about all of the time spent in the car, but again, no problem. One thing I noticed though during the ride down, and I am certain that I am not the only one who experienced this... when I sit in the car for a while, my penis would completely turtle and it was really uncomfortable. So another GREAT benefit of the implant is not more stinking turtle head. I have maintained a decent 3" flaccid state vs. 1.5" to turtle pre surgery.

There are still three of four stitches that have yet to dissolve, but they are close. So, I figure by next Wednesday, I will be ready to take some fresh shots of my unit and incision. The incision looks great by the way and seems less noticeable by the day. I will see about posting some new pics next week when I am officially four weeks out.

Cheers everyone!!!

Accidental but not so accidental inflation.

So I was sitting watching TV in my sweats and milking the pump to keep it in place when I heard and felt a minor pop in the pump. It was obvious that I started the inflation process on this new AMS LGX. I was a little nervous and was not sure exactly what to do so I essentially said to myself "#uck IT" and pumped about ten times. I was really happy to see the result!!!! So with ten pumps, I was at 4.5" long and 5" in girth. With this partial pumping, I was only about 3/4 inches shy of my pre surgery length. AWESOME!!! I did not want to push it so I found the deflate button and released it. Not bad for my first time I must say. I don't plan on cycling though until my follow up on the 30th. But, I have to be honest, it was not a bad way to start the weekend. In addition to the aesthetic results, I found the pump firm but manageable, and as noted, the deflate button was easily manipulated. I'm so excited. Now look, it was definitely different. The look and feel of my penis. It was firm though and more than adequate for sex. I was sore a bit afterward, so I took a couple Tylenol and iced.

Onward and Upward- All puns intended!!!!!!!!!!!!!
