Implant fix this?

Postby ceekay87 » Thu Dec 28, 2023 9:35 pm

I’m seeing Dr Hakky in a few weeks to consult for a possible implant. One of my issues is that my local urologist says I have peyronies. I took a pic of my member in a VED because I can’t seem to hold an erection long enough to take a picture. In your opinion how bad is this peyronies? I’m thinking of getting the AMS CX. Might that fix this or should I get the Titan . I prefer the AMS. I welcome your honest feedback.

Disclaimer, I think the severity of peyronies is user reported. If it is making sex impossible or nearly impossible. Its progressing. You have pain with or without an erection. You should consider an implant. Size loss can be a real risk also.

As for the CX being suitable? I've read that it is. I have not read that it won't work with bad cases of peyronies. Not sure why AMS would make the CX if it didn't work on most peyronies cases.

I suggest that you talk to your dr about your implant choice. I personally might be concerned if the peyronies was real close to the glans. But I think yours should be treatable.

Definitely an implant Drs question. I would leave it up to the Dr as to which brand he chooses. When I was researching I insisted on a Titan. But now after 20 months I figure whenever it comes time for a revision I’ll go with whatever the Dr I use at the time suggests. Maybe brand isn’t as big a deal as I had it in my head at first. Everyone goes on about how much firmer your flaccid is with a Titan….. well I’m here to tell you after a year mine is so soft that it actually accordions up inside and gets about an inch and a half shorter when completely deflated. Very comfortable and I can put it in any position I want with no discomfort. I actually put a few pumps back into it to get a more natural shape and feel most of the time. I do have more of a shower now than before but maybe I’m just used to it. The first few months it was very firm and pretty uncomfortable but I assume either brand would have been the same. Good luck in your future. I would be much more concerned with finding the very best Dr I could get to than what brand I used.

You picked a good dr for PD.
Is the curve more than you remember at any time?
Are erections painful?
If you bend the penis in the direction of the curve does it “hinge” but stay stiff when bending against the curve?
Can you feel a hard plaque in the penis where the curve is?

These were my symptoms..
Dr Hakky was very clear about how he would treat my PD and do my implant. I had an upward curve, so he went infrapubic so he could easily break up the plaque. He was also quick to go Titan. He said he usually allows patients to choose but in PD he goes Titan.

He is solid and will take care of your issue.

If you have questions about PD, Dr Hakky or the surgery feel free to PM for my phone #, Ive been in your shoes…

I had Peyronies and it resulted in size loss, a slight curve (after being worse early on) and significant scar tissue. The Titan fixed all of that--restored size, made it straight, and the scar tissue is only minor. I have before and after pictures that I think show an amazing improvement so hope for the best!
