For us I think the risks are worth it, because if we end up with several revisions (and a possible infection here and there) we have potentially less life left to live and that is less time for more damage to our soft tissuesIkarus wrote:I am in almost the same situation. My thoughts: If the implant would be without a risk of permanent revisions... I'd do it immediately. But since so many people struggle with multiple revisions and bad outcome - I still hestitate.
I know if I end up with a couple of revisions I will probably just move to malleable, because the more surgeries you have the more scarring, the more potential infections, the more you roll the dice on some disastrous outcome that could end in a penectomy.
And with a malleable I would ask to be as conservative as possible...I would go as small as one possibly could without ending up with a floppy glans. The more conservative one is with a malleable the less potential erosion
But it would be placeholder not great for sex. I'd rather be older than younger with that situation
