Second thoughts about surgery

My thoughts: If the implant would be without a risk of permanent revisions... I'd do it immediately. But since so many people struggle with multiple revisions and bad outcome - I still hestitate.

Yes, but you are 52. I am 49. For us I think the risks are worth it, because if we end up with several revisions (and a possible infection here and there) we have potentially less life left to live and that is less time for more damage to our soft tissues

I know if I end up with a couple of revisions I will probably just move to malleable, because the more surgeries you have the more scarring, the more potential infections, the more you roll the dice on some disastrous outcome that could end in a penectomy.

And with a malleable I would ask to be as conservative as possible...I would go as small as one possibly could without ending up with a floppy glans. The more conservative one is with a malleable the less potential erosion

But it would be placeholder not great for sex. I'd rather be older than younger with that situation

A penectomy? Have you actually heard of anyone getting a penectomy become of too many revisions?

Hello. I really need some advice.
I have the implant surgery scheduled in 3 weeks and I am having second thoughts. Freaking out about it is more like it.
I have good days and bad days when it comes to erections. 50% of the time I can have successful sexual interactions with an erection that’s 70-80% good. That is while taking 10mg daily cialis. I don’t know why sometimes I’m better than other days but I was told I have low blood flow to the penis (ultrasound).

Those half the times I can’t get an erection have me depressed as I am only 37 and single.
With that being said, if you were me, with the risks, would you move forward with the surgery?
It sounds like there are a lot of positives about the implant and better your sex life. Also, not ever having to worry about not being able to have an erection.
The cons as I see it are only the remote risks associated with the surgery. What are your thoughts?
Do the erections feel different? Can a woman tell?

Very sincerely - I’m not much older than you and I got peyronies from an injury. That led to a cascade of issues with the main one being my complete inability to maintain an erection for more than a few minutes at a time. It was mostly psychological (like what you are dealing with now) but it was devastating.

Regardless- I thought about canceling my surgery a couple times. I can assure you I am massively glad I didn’t. If you are like me, and I hope you aren’t, the first few weeks will suck bad, but looking down knowing that my dick will be back to normal (or pretty close) and hard for as long as I want.. dude I am so excited.

You need to think what is important to you.

Also maybe try a higher dosage?

My first consultation for an implant was in 2017 @ 39 years old. Fast forward I had tons of sexual encounters refused b.c. of E.D. I hope I can get an implant within in a few months.
If if I was in your shoes I would do it now. Things won't get better, you will have bad days when you reject a nice woman, constant frustration.

One thing that is holding me back is a lot of people on this board had the implant due to reasons that were definitely only fixable by the implant. I am not convinced that this is the only solution, however I am having a hard time finding a doctor that will check the Pudendal artery. If it isn’t a common procedure for these doctors, then they won’t do it. It’s almost like I have to search all over the country for a doctor/surgeon that thinks outside the box.
But who has time and resources for such.

50% would be unacceptable to me I would just get the implant. Of course erections feel slightly different and my penis also has a more straight out angle where before it pointed up. No complaints from my girl though, to the contrary she loves it. Also, had sex with an ex a few months ago that had before and after and the only difference she could tell was it was thicker.

However, there is always risk with surgery so if you feel unready to take that risk and want to try less invasive treatments first only you can make that decision.
