Newbie here. And I have to say that my experience (1-2-24) would be *awful* without the information and camaraderie of this Board. I have edema/swelling/hematoma after surgery a few weeks ago, so feel like I'm at *least* two weeks away from cycling and trying to imagine what having normal-looking, normal-feeling junk will be like.

If I were experiencing this delay in a vacuum, it would be really scary and difficult. Thanks to all.

I have been reading and reading. Still trying to understand. After several years finally made my mind up, to myself. I just had my Post Op, and I almost tried from anxiety and nervousness. The Uro had called me in relaxation pills. I survived a war, walked in jungles, even jumped out planes, but this Implant has me a nervous wreak. I wonder, Is pussi worth it all? Scheduled for the Op 2/8/2024. My timeline goal is to walk by my birthday, in June. Yes, I hear many of you saying, slight discomfort, soreness, to slight pain, no meds needed, etc. But when I see what's gonna be done to a very delicate area, All I see and feel is PAIN. Yes, gonna be man enough to get it, but I hope I will have some good things to say. The Uro thought I was interrogating him. I had my list of 30 questions.....Made him answer them one by one.

I'm sure everyone is different, but when I experience pain, it's never gut-wrenching/won't stop pain. It's more like significant "soreness." The only time I have sustained "pain" is when I drive my car because of my seat pushing my legs together I guess. Or the first 3-4 days urinating after being catheterized during the surgery. (Removed before I woke up.) Very, very occasionally a one-second shooting pain here or there.

I used the narcotic pain meds as directed for a few days. Now I'm tapering off. I will take a half before I go into work, then maybe another half mid-afternoon. By evening, I just take an over-the-counter.

But I have to really say, even though it is significant, "soreness" covers it better than pain for me. Just my $.02. In it right now.

Dave: so how’d you like Dr Kansas? He doesn’t get a lot of talk on here but I was totally satisfied with the entire experience especially the follow up care. His PA Shawn, I thought, was top-notch.

BigDog: I’ve done two wars, albeit desert not jungle. And yes, no two guys are exactly alike. The implant was less problematic than hernias, vasectomy, or a root canal.

Nobody wants to have their junk cut on but I was sore, but back to normal life the next day. No heavy lifting was about the only precaution I took. I drove a 200 mile round trip the day after.

Learning to inflate and deflate with a swollen nutsack was the only challenge I had.

And afterwards your sex life will be the land of the big PX 24/7.

The whole idea is extremely daunting to say the least. Your concerns are well founded and understood. I like many on here speak of how happy we are or that we feel lime a man again etc. I went from 1.5-2inches 3 years ED post prostrate removal to 13 months later which is now to 6L 6G and still growing some.I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. You too will be encouraging others on here in no time. GL to ya.

Hey. It's a scary thought about what they are going to do. But honestly, its not that bad.
You asked "Is puss worth it? Maybe, maybe not. But its dang sure worth your own peace of mind knowing that you will be able when the opportunity comes along.
