Dog ear at the middle of the shaft

Postby satyrum » Sun Feb 04, 2024 2:04 pm

I had a downward curvature (around 35 degrees) prior to surgery. The curvature was between mid-shaft and the glans.

The curvature is almost fully corrected now. (Curvature is around 5 degrees now, which is exactly what my uro told me before the surgery.) I have a straight penis when it's inflated. The problem is, curvature comes back when it's deflated. It's become more pronounced day by day. It created a minor dog ear that causes pain.

I heard that most dog ears are around the base. Anyone had a similar experience? Any trick to avoid this (or minimize curvature and pain)?

I think 'dog ears' can be in different areas. My curve was 'fixed' by bending your shaft in the opposite direction whenever you inflate - painful at first but it does get easier to do after a few goes. You can also 'rest it' in the opposite direction when deflated in your under ware ( Make that your normal day to day position when not in use )

I have similar, think it's a crinkle caused by scar tissue constricting the deflated implant. Mine is also definitely uncomfortable

I'm at 30 days post-op. Walking around has become more painful compared to first 3 weeks. Same thing with sitting. Constant discmfort and occasional pain.

This seems to be THE downside of this surgery for now. It effects my whole life. Are cylinders gonna soften to some degree? If yes, how long does it gonna take? I read conflicting experiences on this subject.

You’re really early on after surgery.. yes dogears are uncomfortable and painful at times but YES this is normal and YES it will get better. My guess is that where your dick is trying to bend from your earlier curvature is obviously where your dogears will appear. Might try partially inflating just to the point that you can make it bend up near the base and keep the main shaft straight. Just experiment with it til it works. I have dogears near the base as that’s where my dick bends down.they were very sore all the time I was deflated for the first several months and then it seemed it just went away. I had to look or feel to even know if the dogears were still there. Your dick will toughen up and it will get better in time. Good luck in the future. Time heals most of the issues you have and will have with the implant.

Yes my dogears are painful as well. I'm about 3 weeks out and this last week after being able to cycle is painful when deflated. I can't bend it down while deflated or it's very bad. Even if I put it straight up it hurts to put it there but once there it's ok. Taking it out is very painful as I think the dogears hurt the worst. I find 75% or a tad less is most comfortable for me for the time being.
