Reinjecting if first one misses.
Re: Reinjecting if first one misses.
A few nights ago I felt pain on the first 2 sticks of the needle. The pain was definitely more than normal so I adjusted and found another spot. The new spot was also painful but not enough to stop me. Third try was the charm. After the first few injections I started using the VED and it has helped immensely. I used to only use the top 1/3 of the penis but after 200 injections, I now use the entire length of it on both sides. Also I use the 1-5 and 7-11 o’clock positions. It’s been at least a year since my last misfire. Most of my injections always have a level of pain but nothing that stops it. I have hit nerves and veins, had a few bruises, but again, nothing that prevents me from moving forward to please my wife. Keep at it, it gets easier.

I have had misfires numerous times and if I wasn’t hard in 5-10 mins as usual I would inject a slightly lower dose on the opposite side. No issues. I think you have to know your body and how you typically respond to the medication to know for sure you have missed. I do have Phenylephrine so I’m not as concerned about it as some but I’m not going to miss an opportunity because I had a “miss”.

Lawnman: Mooseman has your pain answer. The skin layers have a fine network of nerve fibers, and you can get a needle between them. I start by walking the needle around on the skin to find a painless spot. Then push in to the second skin layer - if there's pain I pull out and start over. Eventually I get through the skin painlessly. Now between the second skin layer and the tunica, I might hit a nerve - if it's too painful I pull out and start over. If minor pain I keep slowly pushing. Going through the tunica is always painless.
I use 31 gauge needles which are the thinnest available, I think, to minimize chances of hitting a nerve.

Thank you.

I've been injecting over 12 years now, too many injections to count. I've had my share of issues, but on a few occasions I've injected twice because I either missed the "sweet" spot...OR on 2 occasions the needle actually bent and only partially penetrated the skin. I know it's not recommended, and I wouldn't make it a habit to inject twice the same day...but I have had to do it..and thank God haven't had a problem.

Re: Reinjecting if first one misses.
Only missed twice, it was obvious because I didn't feel the "pop" of going through the tunica, and then felt the burning sensation which is felt when injected outside the tunica. Also, as someone else said, there is more resistance when injecting outside, and when you're inside it goes in smootly. I knew I missed, but waited 1/2 hour to be absolutely sure (always has full effect within 10 to 15 min), then injected again with success.
