Questions about the implants

I feel like i will one day need an implant as my ED has just got worse and worse as time has passed. I just have a bunch of questions please answer if you have a implant. i would like to listen to everyone experience.

1. Can you have Rough sex with a implant? Have sex with different positions... dry sex(no lube) what would stop you from having rough sex? what are the limits?

2. Does the skin or even the penis move around the implant? idk if this makes sense. like will the penis twist around the implant?

3. What does the implant push up against? whats stoping it from going to the anus?

4. Can u have a woman grind her butt on you while dancing or get a lap dance with out damaging the implant or hurting yourself?

5. if the penis is flacid can u feel the implant with your hands? esp with a coloplast?

6. how noticeable is the pump inside the sack?

7. Can you still use your PC muscles after having an implant?

8. Is an implant better than the real thing?

9. Does the coloplast gain girth over time? i believe it does not gain length. correct?

10. How do dr's measure girth and match you with the propper implant?

i have more questions but i cant think of them at the moment. thanks alot for your answers.

I have not had my implant yet, scheduled for March 11th, but I might start some answers for you. According to my surgeon, Dr. Allan Morey, the Coloplast Titan was the recommendation for me so that I WILL get girth. I have read, and I suspect you have also, that the AMS LGX is the device that gives the girth and possible length, but I am now to believe that it is often a per individual basis and perhaps the Titan is more immediate than future growth (girth), at least for me. Knowing that Morey has used both devices also influences my belief that it is per individual. He asked me did I want more girth and I said yes, he was then quick to recommend the Coloplast. I must say I was surprised, and I was thinking I wanted a AMS LGX, but I trust his choice. I have a second consultation Jan 13th so plan to get more understanding of choice....again, I trust his recommendation.

Although I was really leaning to AMS, I do believe Coloplast has been exceptionally inventive to IPP market in the last few years with introduction of soft tips, ITR, a newer more round pump, coatings, etc. Both devices are winners and one might show slight advantage over another per individual.

Another question i have is how does pumping before surgery effect the implants results? does the dr recommend this?

Well, your questions are not the first ones I would ask but they are important to you and I will try to answer from my perspective and if it helps fine. If not, someone else can address for you.

1. Can you have Rough sex with a implant? Have sex with different positions... dry sex(no lube) what would stop you from having rough sex? what are the limits? I would imagine that you can do sex any way that you have now - that would be my expectation AFTER you heal. Positions would not vary and you can get through any sex act with limited awareness of the implant/pump. Added advantage - my opinion, will not lose the hard when you climax and can go farther/please your partners.

2. Does the skin or even the penis move around the implant? idk if this makes sense. like will the penis twist around the implant? Again, I see no problem and there will be no shifting. The only thing I notice is what I presume is the tubing to the reservoir. Sometimes it feels as if it is shifting but just feels like a hard vein. No interference with sex.

3. What does the implant push up against? whats stoping it from going to the anus? The doc measures everything and the implant you receive will fit you well

4. Can u have a woman grind her butt on you while dancing or get a lap dance with out damaging the implant or hurting yourself? I would not know the answer to that but ASSUME it would be OK once you learn how everything operates.

5. if the penis is flacid can u feel the implant with your hands? esp with a coloplast? I have AMS 700 LGX, I can feel the tubes because I know it is there BUT my wife just feels a hard penis with more girth.

6. how noticeable is the pump inside the sack? Once you heal it is simply a hard, third nut that you learn to deal with as it means play time LOL

7. Can you still use your PC muscles after having an implant? Not sure what to tell you on this one.

8. Is an implant better than the real thing? Well, it was the better than my real thing the past 6 years LOL. I can say it feels more natural and better to me than I could imagine. The feel of qa flaccid penis between the legs when you walk, etc. is a good feeling.

9. Does the coloplast gain girth over time? i believe it does not gain length. correct? Not sure. I have been told with my LGX I can gain length and girth for at least a while. Therefore, when I pump up twice a day I try to take it to the next level for just a little while to gain in both areas. I have also discovered that for JO I do not need it as hard and it is really a better experience (but I am still learning and healing).

10. How do dr's measure girth and match you with the propper implant? If you have not watched some of the YouTube videos you need to. Be assured a doctor that you let handle this surgery for you should know what he is doing.

Have not tried anything rough yet.

Yes some, but not bothersome

3. What does the implant push up against? whats stoping it from going to the anus?
Some where in the taint area. First time I used it, it was pretty painful in the taint area. It toughens up after that and is no longer an issue.

Have not tired it but it should not be an issue. I have been able to sleep on my stomach since about month number 3.

I think that all regular implants are the same size and your body controls the expansion. They do make a narrow model though.

Good question and one I expect to get an answer to in upcoming appt. Morey had me lay on office bed at my first visit then he took hold of glan and stretched penis out and told me that length is all he could get. He this asked if I would want more girth. Almost funny as I needed girth anyway, but looking at a stretched out skinny penis one sure wants more. He questioned me as to needed girth such as one finger, two fingers, referring to spouses' tightness. when I replied that I felt more girth would be good, he the said Coloplast would be his choice. I suspect he was factoring other things he might have seen in my physic, it did not really matter because knowing he does so many IPPs, I felt he knew his stuff.

I have been doing VED since July and I asked if a good thing, he said yes, but I did not pickup a lot of enthusiasm.

Hey all,

As for implant size - I'm happy with my natural size and/or my VED size but if the benchmark is to pull out my limp flaccid unit & give me only that I think I will wait till size choices become an option. My pull length is not my natural erection length . If a VED can produce size n girth one would think newer cylinder n pump designs could make it happen. I realize the need to overcome cylinder buckle n erosion but its surely doable.

1. Yes, but it will take time to get there as the healing process varies from guy to guy. But, My doctor assured me that I can do anything post op that I could do pre op.

2. No, the skin does not move. My result is identical to my pre op with regards to skin. No change.

3.The rods of the implant take the place of the existing corpo. cav. and the rods don't push up against anything. There are diagrams you can find online to see this better.

4. Yes, lap dances are fine. But, she will be grinding up against a flaccid penis unless you inflate prior to her mounting you

5. You can detect the implant if you know they are there. Otherwise, an untrained person won't know the difference.

6. The sack just looks a little bigger. You can easily tell its there when you feel for it. Trained or not. It does not get in the way rest assured.

7. Yes, but you have to train to use them again.

8. No. But if the real thing is a 10, I give the implant a solid 9.5! The main benefit for many of us is that you can have sex ANYTIME you want and do it over and over again if you wish. That makes it great.

9. I have the LGX. But, my research confirmed the Coloplast can increase girth only over time.

10. Doctors utilize a specialized piece of equipment to do the measurement. They do not necessarily measure girth as the tubes can be inflated to varying degrees. Other Franktalk members have posted diagrams that show the size of the tubes utilized by each device on the market.
