Every insurance policy is a contract and can vary not only from insurer to insurer, but even from employer to employer with the same insurer. You cannot make a blanket statement about what disabilities, injuries, illnesses, condition etc will be covered or excluded without examining the policy contract. Even then, it takes an experienced eye to see how the contract will be interpreted (i.e. sometimes a lawyer).
Having said that, there are generalizations one can make (and other men here will be able to say) about what insurance companies GENERALLY cover ED treatment, up to and including implant. Even so, any particular employer can list specific conditions which are excluded. So, you may have to ask at some time during the job search process (a tricky question, I admit).
Then there is the question of "pre-existing conditions" coverage or waiting periods.
Good luck.

I am just guessing about this but I would think a job with the federal government would be worth looking into. State governments maybe also. The common past rule of thumb was government jobs had lower pay but better benefits and job security.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

I will also relate what Dr Eid wrote to me, "Find a surgeon dedicated to his craft." Such a surgeon will make every effort to optimize the ultimate outcome regardless of the amount of effort required. I am in Alaska and considered flying to the East Coast of the US in order to have either Dr Kramer or Dr Eid do my surgery but after extensive communications with both those imminent surgeons and interviewing a coupld of locals and one in Seattle, Dr Shaw figuratively (and almost literally) fell into my lap. He told me, "You will be overflying a lot of good surgeons" if you go to the east coast. He did not try to discourage me from going, but impressed me as dedicated to the best possible outcome for me, so I chose him.
Upshot of this post is that you do not have to go to one of the "big names". Just find a surgeon who has a good level of experience and success behind him/her. That does not help choose an insurance policy, but the job hunt is tough enough without the complication of insurance shopping. I suggest leaving out surgeon choice as a complicating factor. If, after GETTING the insurance, you need to go outside the network of approved surgeons, bite the bullet and pay the surcharge.

I was told by my Blue Cross Blue Shield rep that my particular policy did not cover IPP… but when I hit the proper codes from Dr office I was told it was covered. One thing to look for is do they have PPO,HMO. This is generally the terms that are associated with going to other Drs that might or might not even be in your state. My particular policy will even fly you to a specialist in your need outside of your state if you have a particular qualifications. IPP is obviously not one of theses but mine did allow me to travel to any Dr in their list of drs and it’s very extensive and included Eid,Perito , and many other famous implanters. Was also told that there are hundreds of BCBS policies that vary greatly.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!
