trying to understand expansion of LGX...

Postby wanttokno » Mon Jan 06, 2014 1:20 am

O.K., I hope no one finds this irritating because its been discussed over and over but in spite of reading practically everything on this forum I'm still confused. Maybe its cause I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, I'm not sure but I will try and state this as simply and clearly as I can. I've read many time how the LGX will expand 15-18 % but even talking to Elizabeth the AMS PR liaison I'm unclear as to the actual limits of the device and she seemed to be unable to understand what I was asking.
Will the cylinders girth expand 15-18% beyond the listed inflated girth of 18mm or is 18mm the absolute limit on their girth expansion? I Believe that as far as the length goes if you have 21cm cylinders and they expand out to a full 18% greater than their initial length they will reach 24.78 cm, right? Does the same hold true for the girth? Will 18mm actually expand to 21.24mm if ones anatomy allows? Thanks to everyone who answers these posts and also thanks to all who take the time to read them, be good ya'll, peace...

I asked pretty much the same questions you did prior to my surgery 2 years ago, and like you, even talked to Elizabeth at AMS about it. Here's what I think I learned.

An 18cm LGX (using this as an example) has an uninflated length of 18cm. It can, and in the lab outside the body, will stretch about 18% when fully inflated, or 21.24. Inside the body, it will expand to whatever the body allows, which actually depends on how the surgeon sizes it, as well as how much you can stretch over time. Girthwise, I understood the uninflated girth was around 12mm, and the max girth expansion was about 18mm. Again, how much you get when its inside your body depends on how much your body can stretch. (I understand the Titan is about 14mm uninflated girth, with a max of 21-22mm, probably closer to 21mm).

As to Elizabeth, I found her explanation as unclear as perhaps you did. All I got from talking to her was that she backpedalled fast when I quizzed her about the potential for the LGX to give me more length. That helped convince me, along with a lot of other research, that the alleged advantage of the LGX for greater length was more marketing hype than anything.

If you can make sense out of it, this post might help too: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3496&p=22484#p22484

It's all very confusing. If you have a 28cm Titan implant, it doesn't mean that you will have a 28cm bone pressed erection. The doctors (that I have seen from videos on the net) measure down that part of the penis that is inside the body as well as that part that sticks out. The part we are all familiar with. It seems that they add the two lengths together to determine the size implant to put in. Then again I could be wrong.
