For all men who have an implant how many had severe ED?

Postby Never_Enough » Tue Mar 19, 2024 9:04 am

Interested to know how many guys who have implants got it because they wanted to perform better without pills or injections and not because they had severe ED?

Mine is mild depending on my stress and pain levels. Not going to lie the thought of never having to worry about pills or performing again is tempting, but I can get a good erection and have good maybe not great sex already so it's far.more of a conundrum than if you have no alternative.

Thanks.

Implants are there if you truly need it. Surgery is surgery and should be avoided unless you really need it.

In a stress free situation my penis functioned fine. I could jerk off all I wanted, and I could have sex with some regular hookups with some dick pills and alcohol. However, NEW hookups, and especially very attractive ones, my dick would die no matter how much Viagra/Cialis I had.

It was a very hard decision to make such a drastic, no going back decision to get an implant in my case, but I did it because I decided that ultimately a perfectly working dick that would function anytime EXCEPT in those situations where I needed it most wasn’t really useful to me. What good to me was a functioning dick if it died every time I scored hot ass. The moment that really crystallized my decision came at one of my lowest points: I had a fully naked, beautiful 22 year-old on his knees in front of me sucking me and my dick was dead. He was so confused, and I was more than embarrassed. At that point I said fuck it. Not dealing with this for the rest of my life. I have the implant now, no going back.

I am very early in my recovery now, having had my procedure back on 3/13/24, 7 days ago. But I can tell, barring any unforeseen complications, that this will work nicely for me. I still have full glands engorgement. I can even move my erect dick like before. And all that just a week later. I believe my outcome is going to be excellent long term. The recovery sucks. The swelling mostly in my case. Pain is not bad.

I hate the idea of having to go through this surgery again in the future. I am sincerely hoping that I am one of the majority of men who get 10-15 years out of my device. But even in a best case scenario that means I’ll be having 2-5 revisions in my life time (I’m 41 now). At your age you’ll really have to consider that reality.

Sounds very much like my situation.

I do have 2 kids and my partner doesn't think I have ED so I have to factor that in.

It's tempting to consider it and also to get experiences from those who don't have full ED.

Did you lose much length of girth given you could get erections fine in the right circumstances before?

What is sensitivity like now?

Thanks.

I had complete ED after the accident. Meaning I couldn't get any erection.

If you are below 40 and pills still work, do not consider the implant. There is no way back
LGX 18 + 1, 90 cc. 2023/12
Pre-OP VED length: 5.5". Post-OP: 4". At 3 months post-op: 5".
Cycling with a lot of pain for the first 5 months, now improving
If you have a motorcycle or a bike stop using it (ED with motorcycle accident).

Exactly. If there is a physical problem, the implant is justified. If it’s all mental, it’s better to exhaust all other options such as counseling. If there are anxiety issues, they could resurface and become even worse if there are God forbid any issues after surgery.

I am still very early in my recovery so still dealing with swelling and I was left partially inflated, but I can already tell I will have lost nothing in length or girth. The underside of my penis is a little numb from the recent surgery, but other than that I have full feeling. I am still able to make my penis independently move by pulsing it, and if I put on a porno my glans fills up just as before. I haven’t been cleared for sex or jerking off at this point, but I really do want to, so that’s a very good sign.

Most men who lose length lose it because they were impotent for long periods of time and their penises have atrophied, combined in some cases with doctors who under-sized them. If you do eventually decide to get the implant be sure to go with one of the high volume doctors who is known to specialize in the procedure and who has low infection rates. That’s what I did. So far so good.

Yeah I figured those that lost size was due to not having an erection for a while.

So basically in someone like me who can get a good erection some aspects of the erection remain the same?

Can you get any blood into the corpus csvernosum at all to enlarge it what sever without the pump?

Thanks.

Mine was all mental, but since developing pelvic dysfunction it's mostly physical now.

No, the erectile tissue is destroyed by the implants, however you can still get glans and I get quite a bit of rounding out with stimulation.

Thanks.
