I had surgery 12 long weeks ago. Inflated 70% for first six dues to massive swelling of scrotum. Then six more weeks, waiting for swelling to go down enough to cycle. Was almost down at one point, but believe some air travel made it flare up.
I saw the doc a week ago. We took it up and down. I found the button, squeezed the bulb and watched it come alive. I was pretty happy, but was never able to re-produce that. The bulb stayed dented, then after it filled, I pumped it over 100 times and nothing.
So, I went back in today. It was truly "stuck." He squeezed, poked, prodded....had never seen anything like it. He'd walk to one side, then the other....but then we finally had success. He says he will be calling people to see wtf. He says the probability of having to replace the pump is less than 5%. But, he spent a lot of time with (for a doctor) and we cycled it about 6 times in the office. A "guess" is that because it had sat dormant for so long without use.
Now at home, I can feel the "pop" when it inflates. I can actually FINALLY sometimes feel the button. Other times I'm pressing where it should be because there is still some muck around it all.
1. When I find the deflate button, it doesn't go completely down. I hold for 4 seconds, let it go, then squeeze my dick. It's not erect, but it seems it could be more flaccid. Maybe that's just more "breaking in."
2. When I pump it, it definitely gets erect, but there isn't any of the pain I usually hear described. (Other than the soreness created from cycling it up and down. Damn, I'm sore.) And it seems after a point, I can press the bulb and it just doesn't get that much hard. I mean, towards the end, the bulb gets stiffer, but after a wait with a little heat, it can pump again. I wonder since it's my first time and I'm breaking it in, is this normal?
Thanks for listening, and of course, any insight from other AMS LGX people is most welcome.

Dave:
I think you may be on the right track when you attribute the pump issue to being dormant. There’s been scar tissue, new tissue, all sorts of shit going on since you haven’t been inflating and deflating. It would make a certain amount of sense that it froze up, so to speak.
On a happier note, that first initial squeeze or two when you feel the op and the fluid begins to move….is there a better, more relief-filled emotion than when that happens.
Btw do you get “the buzz” when you find the deflate button and fluid heads back to the reservoir?

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

When you deflate your implant, press and hold the deflate button down while squeezing the implant with the other hand. It helps to bend it also to get all the saline back into the resovor. With the AMS implant you should feel a buzzing and when it stops, the impant is empty. When you are inflated after waiting a few minutes, alows the implant to stretch out allowing you to add another squeeze or two. Doing the Perito exercises will also help with stretching the implant allowing you to add more.
Age 74 Implanted 01/02/2024, Dr.Clavell AMS LGX, Ed for almost 20yrs. Cialis tried caused vision loss, Trimix also caused vision problems. Married 36 years.

I have to say, it was a really HUGE relief! Yippee! I got the buzz very distinctly once. The doc said I may not get it all the time. I got my visit notes from yesterday, and he descibed it as an "air lock" which is a term he did not use during my appointment, so maybe he talked to his rep or something. I doubt anything was broken, as it had been largely undisturbed. But I bet over the next few days, it may get easier.
After I deflated last night, I had the feeling it was still somewhat erect, but chubby is more erect than before. Today at work when I went to the bathroom, I found the button, and it deflated some more.
Cautiously very optimistic. Now the work begins! Thanks for your reply.

I was wondering if I should continue to hold the deflate button. It seems to make sense, but the directions say to hold it for 4 seconds and it will deflate. The doc said to squeeze and also push the penis in toward my body. I bet I'll be learning the tricks soon.
I thought the Perito exercises sounded weird and violent at first, but actually did them last night and they felt just fine. I think my penis has had fairly long to recuperate from the intrusion, so none of this is hurting as described by guys who start earlier.
I need to watch the Perito video to see the protocol of how much to do the exercise......
Thanks for the reply!
