Hello. My name is Rich, I’m 69 and a new member to this site. I regularly partake in deep urethral sounding and seek to find other members who share this most kinky of fetishes. I am planning to have inflatable penile prosthesis surgery in the Summer of 2024. I have some basic questions, a great deal of ambivalence, and satisfaction in knowing I located this group of men where I can openly communicate my most personal matters.
REZUM a disaster:
My medical conditions include MS and diabetes (2001), ED (2006), urinary retention (2015), BPH becoming an issue (2018), nocturnal erections disappearing (2022), trimix #16 injections ineffective (2019), quad-mix generally ineffective (2024). Then in 2023, with my BPH getting worse, I had the REZUM prostate procedure. It was a complete and total disaster. I was left with retrograde ejaculation and 100% dependent on urinary catheters to empty my bladder. Know this: The company behind REZUM would like you to only read the joyful testimonials from patients on their website. But when I wrote and called them to get my version and my experience posted, well, they quickly offered their condolences… and ended the phone call.
Q1: Do you have an inflatable implant, and if so, do you also enjoy recreational deep urethral sounding? Does the implant interfere in any way with sound insertion or play? I include this detail because if an implant would ever restrict my ability to insert a curved steel rod into my prostate, well…, I would not do the implant. My surgeon didn’t think my sounding practices would be a concern but mentioned he had not encountered a prospective implant candidate who regularly partakes in this activity and advised I chat with others online, hence, you guys.
Sounding Really, Really get me Off:
I am disabled and do not have a partner. My sexual activity is 100% solo. With the diminishing effectiveness of the ED injections waning by 2016, I started searching for a better means of gaining the pleasures my mind and body needed and craved. I ultimately found what works really, really well for me in the kink world. I discovered recreational urethral “sounding” and e-stim (2016). I regularly communicate with my healthcare team regarding this activity to keep me safe. Fast forward to today, I utilize a “sound” and my mindfulness training I learned for MS management to shut off my brain and let my body take over, reaching multiple toe-curling Os, whenever I want, and can keeping them going one after the other for hours if I wish. Specifically, I insert a 10-inch long Van Buren J-shaped polished stainless-steel dilator (referred to as a sound) about 5/16” diameter, all the way into my penis. Mindfulness allows me shut down my brain for a bit, allow my body to drive the car, recognize the triggers my body needs to let go, and bam, it happens, and happens. I now use a VED pump per doctor’s orders to prep for the implant surgery. If anything I wrote here resonates with you, please reply. Thanks, Rich

Re: Recreational Prostate Sounding
Welcome to the forum, I think.
Since you seem to primarily be asking an implant related question perhaps this thread would be more appropriate in the "Implants" sub-forum. Or since you also seem to be trolling for others interested in your particular kink, perhaps it would be better placed in the "Sexuality" sub-forum. Other than those two locations I'd suggest the "Members Only" sub-forum so others that might want to respond to the kink aspect would feel more free to comment.

Re: Recreational Prostate Sounding
Id be very nervous about doing this kind of activity with an implant. A very serious complication of the implant is erosion- that is, where the implant wears through the surface of the skin and eventually protrudes outside of the body. This is obviously a disaster. In your case id be scared of causing urethral erosion. Google "penile implant urethral erosion" and you will learn that it has been documented that patients who regularly use catheters (spinal cord injury patients for example) are at risk of urethral erosion because the delicate urethra tissue is being squeezed between a hard catheter and hard implant cylinders. Your sounding device would be very similar in its ability to cause this terrible complication, I would imagine.
In short, if you aren't looking to have penetrative sex, I would definitely not recommend the implant in your case.
