Which Company & model

Postby trucxrule » Wed Jan 08, 2014 2:10 pm

BOBB-

Brotherhood of Bionic Boners , I'm a step closer to crossing the injection line into implanting. I'd like to have an idea & opinion of which model I'm interested in acquiring prior to hearing the Dr's take . Going forward with the belief that I have a healthy corpora , no severe curving , etc and I VED daily to keep stretched & limber ( I still get night erections too) - I like the thought of AMS's model that claims to expand for length as well as girth . That said Titan appears to have a great product with excellent material & is known for excellent column rigidity which I think is better described by a recent Titan owner as " railroad spike". A well known high volume implanter down South appears to now use Titan almost exclusively . Any event I'm positive it will come down to in importance :
1 Dr performing procedure.
2 Model selected .

T,
I, too, thought ams lgx sounded like the device I wanted, however, after stretch and brief chat, my surgeon, who does both, suggested the Coloplast. I trust his choice per my particular need, but I do mean to quiz him a little more when I go for second consultation Monday.

Often the Titan is associated with "large showers", but I assure you that is not my case. It is my theory that his choice could have to do with my desire for better girth, at with my age perhaps Titan gives that quicker. I read that lgx is great for girth and sometimes length, but usually over a period of time. Again, I plan to ask more questions Monday.

When asked by the doctor which I preferred.
I told him to use the one he thought was best for me.
He used the titan with otr and I am very pleased so far.
Implanted with colorplast Titan 3 years ago. Davinci radical prostatectomy 6 months ago. Very happy with the outcome of both procedures.

T,

Congratulations on reaching the decision to move forward with an IPP (Inflatable Penile Prosthesis).
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
Also, the Titan does not interfere with any of my routine physical activities, including, weight lifting, swimming, biking, etc.
After 6+ years, the implant has just become a part of my body and, other than being to achieve a rock hard erection 24/7,
I really never notice it.
In summary, I would do it again in a heart-beat!
Please feel free to PM me if you have any non-medical questions or would just like to talk.
Best Wishes,
Bob
P.S.: Look forward to welcoming you to membership in Dave's "Brotherhood of Bionic Boners".

I had a Titian implanted Dec 5th,my doctor was here at Duke Hospital in NC. The top 3-4 doctors in the US install Titians. He also installed the new otr pump which is smaller feel about the same as one of your nuts,in fact I preesed the wrong one the other day by mistake. I can assure that will not happen again :o My doctor implants both but prefers the Titian,he says it is much stiffer at erection and adds about 30% in girth while maintaining your stretched length. I am the one that said it was a "railroad spike" it is. It is actually harder than when I was in my 20s :D I love the way it looks and feels, unless a woman new to look she would have a hard time finding it the pump is in the back of my scrotum and like said feels about the same. Casual touching she would not likely locate it. my e-mail is jryancey44@frontier.com if you want to talk. Good Luck!

My dr at Duke was Aaron Lentz, he does about 125-150 a year,he is the only one at Duke that does implants. I seen a Dr,McCluren in raleigh for a second opinion. It only did about 15 a year. I had a vascular test done at Rex hospital in raleigh that confimed everything, blood flow and vein leakage. Viagra helped a little with the glans, but that was it. i was really pleased with Duke and the staff there,I stayed over night at the Duke hospital branch in Raleigh. Dr Lentz is in his early 40s and has great credentials,I would highly recommend him. He will not push you either way, just advise you. We tried 3 different strengths of trimix and caverjet before this. I made this decision after the vascular test.
