Pump not staying deflated
Pump not staying deflated
Lately when i deflate the pump it doesn’t stay deflated. Should I be worried?

Re: Pump not staying deflated
After you deflate make sure to give 1 pump on the bulb. I believe it locks the direction of the valve.

I have a AMS 700 cx. Does that matter?

I have the LGX and do 1 pump after deflating.

Re: Pump not staying deflated
I have the LGX, and I find that giving it a pump after deflating causes auto-inflation as I move around.
I just deflate and leave it alone.

Re: Pump not staying deflated
I have an AMS 700 CX, and almost exactly at the 5 month mark the auto-inflation stopped. That was the same time that pushing hard on the deflation button resulted in a distinct “click,” and it would deflate all the way and stay that way. Pressing the pump one time never helped at all, after many attempts. I wonder if that is the placebo effect?

Re: Pump not staying deflated
I'm having that problem now. Can't get more deflated than a big chubby. My neighbor got an eyeful the other day. I'll be locking my doors......
I was told to squeeze the penis, then push it into your body. Like you were trying to stuff it into there. My doc says that will defalte the portion that is inside the body. If that isn't deflated, the remaining fluid refills the entire chambers.
All of a sudden, this week, I'm having trouble deflating at all. Sometimes deflating the AMS 700, the deflate "vibrates." Now it's just doing an extremely weak vibration and taking almost as long to deflate as inflate. I made an appointment for 3 weeks from now with the P.A., but since things have historically changed throughout this recovery, it wouldn't surprise me if the situation changed/improved.

Push deflate button hard. Hear/ feel the buzz. Squeeze and push into your body. Then one hard quick squeeze and you should hear the valve button pop in. I t will not re inflate unless you squeeze the bulb. 700lgx

Re: Pump not staying deflated
The AMS 700 MS pump can be a bit sticky at first. They are made tight to last a long time. They are self-lubricating. When you think about wait time for activation you notice that the doctor leaves the pump in inflate mode for weeks partially inflated. And for these weeks the device stays at that level of inflation. Mine took a while for the pump to switch fully from inflate to deflate. This would let fluid move back into the cylinders. Heat will help the pump switch fully. Until the pump wears in a bit you can use the inflate mode same as your doctor did to set an inflation level for the weeks before activation. Just deflate as much as you can by squeezing your penis. Then do a fast forceful squeeze of the bulb or as many as you need to for the pop that signals you are in inflate mode. If you do not get that or it take too many pumps, then deflate and squeeze your penis and try again. Then the same thing happens as when your doctor locked in the inflation level after surgery. Only you will have set that level very low so you can heal, and your body can adjust to the reservoir being full of fluid. Again, using heat with cycling will help a lot. Now after I inflate and am ready to deflate, I will press the deflate button until I can feel the buzz of fluid going back in the reservoir when I release the deflate button. I no longer need to squeeze the cylinders and just let it deflate on its own. As I move around while dressed (blue jeans) the cylinders will continue to empty back into reservoir. I did not do this until after one year as I was wanting to make sure the reservoir scar tissue had healed leaving room for the fluid when fully deflated.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Re: Pump not staying deflated
I have the AMS 700.....I have read and studied everything I could about this Pump. Including some engineering documents. Even talked with the UROs and the AMS 700 support team. I have come to the conclusion that there is something very suspicious / mysterical about this pump / bulb. I have dealt with DATA collection for over 35 years. And the data doesn't add up about this Penile Pump. There seems to be a lot of problems related to this pump. I don't think this pump is ready for Prime Time. Everything from "Not working", "Hard/Frozen", "Will not Pump", "Will not Deflate", "Excessive Soreness", "You name it". It's all listed somewhere on this site, and has happened to you. I have discussed this Pump with several UROs. I am at 4 months post surgery. The entire surgery from start to finish was rated 8 - 9. But this Pump, including the Cycle/Deflate, was rated a 0 - 2. There is nothing like they say it is....."Get experienced URO, have surgery, heal, soreness, cycle, PUMP, you will be like you 22 again, and YOU WILL LOVE IT. Everything may be true, except that Pump Cycle thing. Just my opinion. To me the thought of trying to Pump takes you out of the mood for sex. It ain't worth it.
