Recovery time (time to use) malleable vs inflatable

Postby exr001 » Wed May 15, 2024 2:43 pm

What is the general recovery time for those with a malleable vs an inflatable? Bottom line for all of us is getting to start having an enjoyable sex life again and I'm wondering if the recovery time is significantly different between the two types.
52 y.o., Type 2 diabetic
Tried Viagara, Cialis, and high dosage of Tri-Mix and Quad-Mix
Pumps and bands help but not as much as before.
Considering options

I have a Rigicon mallabble implanted 6-30-2023 was told on 7-18-2023 at the 3 week checkup that I could start using it on Aug 11th. So for me that would have been about 45 days and I was cleared to use it. Each dr. has their own agenda and advice and it may be based on the patient themselves.

I was implanted infrapubic and had sec at three weeks with some discomfort but was a good experience. Don’t think this should play into any decisions about which one to go with if that’s what you’re wondering. Way too much variable from one Dr to the next and also from one patient to the next. Most people will start using it from 3-6 or even 8 weeks.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

8 weeks tops if someone has severe diabetes or on immunosuppressants due to highly compromised immune systems.

Hi. New to this site. Just want some advice from you guys - I had a Coloplast Titan implanted 5 weeks ago.
Felt up to having sex for the first time last night, and the pain was excruciating. Is this to be expected or do you think there a problem ?
