it and he told me no since the implant itself had not failed.

According to the Dr. going in to the OR, I was getting the Tactra, but after follow-up visits, found out it was the Genisis.

so it was under sized and that allowed the tip to move under the glans and poke out in the shaft . damn . yeah, otherwise malleables don't have mechanical misfunctions
this time around they will get it right . Unfortunately there is a "this time " best wishes for the next one .
the shah has no metal hinge ;at minute 3:45 and needs constrictive under wear to hold it in place . other wise its ;boing boing . sticking straight out .

Every darned malleable requires an underwear, or am I wrong?

With Shah, the metal won't snap out, develop S shape deformities and become loosey and bendy after repeated bend cycles. It's like the malleables of the 70s. Metal came into existence in 80s to please the consealability enthusiasts

as the doctor stated, the shah has no metal rod and has zero bend memory .100 percent silicone . unlike other malleables that can be pushed down and stay there . the shah springs back up
i imagine some good tight under wear would keep it in place, for a while . ,and it has up to 15mm rods . if i remember right from the ones presented to me at the consultation ,the shah was the lest rigid . and probably why its not recommended if you can pay a little more for one with a actual bend memory and stiff wire core .
it would be interesting to have feed back from patients who have them after being put in use . Lots of indian guys go that route due to cost .

Yes, Shah is pure silicone and I'm surprised that you found that to be the least rigid.

I'm leaning towards Genesis. It looks super soft in this video compared to AMS. I'm now divided between the two.

I like the AMS malleable, but the surgeon I consulted has a lot of experience with Genesis and not AMS or Rigicon. I learned that aggressive sizing comes from confidence, which in turn comes from more surgeries done using a specific brand. Is my thought process right? Based on that philosophy, I'll probably settle with Genesis. It just looks like a wet noodle in the video above, so I'm confused, to be honest

Look up posts from a member called thedriver, he had 4 failed IPP and then went with a genesis about 4 months ago. From his posts him and his wife are load testing it on a regular basis and I do mean load testing it ..lol .. I had a Rigicon implanted 6-2023, my rods are 13mm my dr. told me if he had put a tactra in me with the same size rods I would not hardly be able to bend them. With the Rigicon it is easy to bend since it will bend downwards 135 degrees or so, it's easy to hide. But plenty stiff enough to use when you get ready. Before you make a choice do yourself a favor and see your dr., have him show you examples of the 3 major brands ..bend them as well as put 2 rods side by side and put pressure on the ends to see how stiff they would behaving intercourse. It's worth doing your homework trust me. when I had mine done my dr. told me he would not implant a Tactra in me, he implants about 50 MPP a year but does over 300 implants a year total.

it would be good if a doctor did a test with all the brands with press that has a guage on it to show exactly how much it takes to bend a single rod or a pair .
my tactra fell to the right and down the same day of the surgery and concealment really isnt a issue . the first 4 weeks was a little when wearing swim trunks but not much any more .and with cargo shorts not at all . i do wear thight boxer briefs to hold it in place .
but in hind site i would now have gone with the rigi10 just for the extra size 14 mm rods .

To fit 14 mm rods you need to have an anatomy that allows you to put 14 mm rods, not everyone can put 14 mm rods

Always great to hear from you, easymoney. I value your insights. Thedriver's posts have really sold me on the Genesis. His switch from the renowned titan and his high praise for the Genesis really speak volumes. Plus, his wife is happy, which counts for a lot. Tactra has its appeal, but it's not catching on in the US. Physicians are put off by its lack of bend memory in the samples. Boston Scientific really needs to address this. I've talked to several surgeons, and they're not fans of Tactra. It seems like Dr. Carrion might be the only one who's super familiar with Rigicon. Most surgeons here are comfortable with Genesis, but I think they'll come around to Rigicon eventually. I don't want to be implanted with a device by a surgeon who has hardly any experience with it. I think Genesis is my safest bet, considering that factor!
