I agree if I was just going into getting an implant I would definitely do my homework and want to compare a Rigicon and a Genesis next to each other. Each implant has it's own merits and I have no clue if Dr. Carrion uses any other MPP implants. I do know he used to like the Spectra which was used before the Tactra. when Boston Scientific stopped making he bought up as many as he could for his patients. A Spectra was offered but in my case he said the 13mm rods the Rigicon offered would be a good choice. In my revesion next month he is talking about possibly going to a 14mm rod. Good luck on your new Genesis and I hope your able to use it as much as thedriver, he's my hero ... lol

Thank you! 14 mm rod sounds like a great upgrade on girth. Good luck with your revision, or in other words, a potential upgrading on the girth!

At this point I'd be happy with pretty much anything to get this so called (easy) mallabble implant journey over with. I have had the worst luck with getting an implant. When he goes in to do the revesion if he can't do it without repairing something and having to wait for it to heal in order to do the revesion I'm having him take it all out. This is 3 surgeries in under a year and I'm a high risk patient to be put to sleep with my health history.

I wish you the best outcome after this revision surgery, easymoney. This is tough - three surgeries in a year.

Thank you, not looking forward to it at all. It's not the pain it's the uncertainty of if this is the last time. My dr. chose the mallabble for me based on my health issues but I have had the worse luck with it so far. Third time is a charm or so they say.
