EID in NY June 14 -- Help with preparations

The most comfortable for me the first few days post op were naked on the bed on my back. I was out of town also but was a 5 hr drive and my wife was with me. The most comfortable clothes to go over the mummy is a size too big of sweat pants and a long tshirt to help hide it some more. I stayed in til I could bend it flat up and put a couple pair of tight under on to compress it when I finally ventured out. Within a couple weeks the seperatec Underwear worked good with putting it in a downward position but still is very uncomfortable for the first couple weeks. Good luck with the surgery!

Interesting update..

Instead of paying someone to pick me up from surgery, for about $100, i found a caregiver on Craigslist…

$500.00 but she is with me all weekend, to help with food, meds, massage, bathing, everything. I rented a car and she will drive me to all the appointments.

Honestly, not that much more money since I won’t pay any Uber cost etc. and will have someone who will be with me most of my time.

I will let everyone know if she is awesome or some scam…. But will leave her info if its turns out awesome.

I have all meds except the Percocet which I get Wednesday. I got my over size shirt, large briefs, and instant cold packs for the plane back.

Upgrade flights to 1st class… so im ready

I wish you all the best on Friday. Dr Eid did my first implant in 2006, and he did the revision five weeks ago. I have total confidence in him, in addition his office staff is great and can answer most of your questions. Good luck.

Thank you !! Met him today and did pre-op testing… 40% leak…. So makes sense now.
Also, he met with my medical escort and is going to put her info on his website.. so that is cool.
The staff included her in everything, so after my surgery I will have someone to care for me.
