I love Leto's 2-week update (see below), as it not only mirrors my post-op recovery so far, he paints a great picture. Leto has to be a writer by trade, no?
For me, as of June 12, I am now 9 days post-op, 3-inch slice above the junk.
Doc's PA took out the staples on Monday (Day 7) and it hurt very little. She did a thorough check of my horror-movie-looking junk and said it is healing as it should. Swelling on left side of sack was almost all gone last night, and even less swelling and bruising this morning. So I am trending the right way, and now there indeed is a light at the end of the tunnel. No longer a soggy, deformed grapefruit between my legs, and it's less sore. I have to take it easy, still, but I see improvements on the horizon. Semi-erect penis is still lumpy, but bruising is going away along with pain. Ending the Norco and super-ibuprofens now.
Looking forward to resuming "normal" activities very soon, and that does not yet include sex. That will have to wait for at least 4 or 5 more weeks. But, as I turn the corner, I'm feeling better about my decision (yes, doubts were there last week, post-op, when it was looking bleak). Thanks, Leto, and the rest of my new Bionic Brotherhood!
It’s my two week anniversary of being implanted, so I thought I would give you guys coming down the line a view into how it has gone so far:
Days 1-2: No pain, dick wrapped tight and no swelling. Hey, this ain’t so bad!
Day 3: Wrap comes off. A little bruising, a little swelling, but overall dick looks good!
Day 4-7: Holy shit. My entire pubic area below my belly, dick, scrotum and taint go completely black with bruising and swelling. It’s a horror show! Scrotum blows up to grapefruit size, hard and heavy and full of fluid. My dick looks like a pink sausage (the glans) poking out of a black pretzel bun (my swollen shaft). Doc says he has seen worse but not much worse, and puts me on antibiotics out of an abundance of caution. There is some pain, but it’s minimal and mostly related to hauling around a soggy grapefruit between my legs. Compression shorts are my best friend, they keep my junk from sloshing around down there.
Day 8: Bruising and swelling start to go down bit by bit. This continues through second week. Almost no pain, but a little discomfort standing up or sitting down.
Day 15: Almost all bruising gone, and swelling is down to a manageable level, doesn’t feel like an ostrich egg in my pants anymore. I can now feel the bulb of the pump in my scrotum, but don’t dare press it yet. Feels just like a third testicle.
Moral of the story: even when shit looks bad - and I looked pretty bad for a few days - it gets better pretty quick. Just take it easy. And get some compression shorts a size smaller than you normally would!
Be well,
Leto

9 days post-op update
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.
Re: 9 days post-op update
Haha, thanks for the shoutout, Camper! I’m a lawyer by trade, so wordsmithing is part of the deal, though not usually about the soggy grapefruit hanging between my legs!
If your timeline is something like mine, and it sounds like it is, the next few days will bring increasing optimism. I’m still a bit swollen (Day 22 for me), but things continue to look better.
But it was definitely dark for a few days there, wasn’t it! We’ll have to make sure we get our money’s worth once it comes time to fuck!
Be well, Leto

49. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.
