Hiker, I agree with a lot of what you say, but will also say this. IPPs are only a bit over 40 years old, and the devices and surgical techniques have improved dramatically over that time. The same should be expected over the next 50 years, honestly for someone who is currently thirty they should probably be thinking about a 100-150 year life span. But there are some amazing advances coming in the next few decades, including tissue regeneration and others.

All of this is to say to the OP: I would think about what is best for you for the next 10-20 years. The medicine is going to be far beyond where we are now after that. You are young now. If you think you would be happier with an implant over the short term, I would go for it. I’m 49 with a life-long venous leak, I wish I had done it much earlier.

A bit ago someone posted on here about a study they were doing for an electronic-connected device. Combine that with brain interface implants Musk and others are working on, and it’s not unreasonable to think that in 20 years an IPP might be managed by a neural interface… you’ll be able to think yourself hard and back again! Haha that will be something.

50-60% erection and venous leak. I can say don't waste time and go get an implant with a world-class surgeon. If you cannot have a satisfactory sex, it is better not to have it at all. The effects are very negative to your relationships. This is the best age to have good sex, and you will be waiting for a cure that may come after 10 or 15 years, or never comes.
I won't think about revisions now. No one knows how long next generation of implants can last. Your implant may last 20 years and you get only one revision in the future. Who knows?
I suffered a lot for 3 and a half years, and many men over here had longer periods of ED, and everyone is saying I wish I had it sooner. This is a game-changer.

Thank you for your answers. So someone wrote here that I should learn to use fingers and tongue. Boy, such sentences are an insult to me. It's best not to watch how someone else satisfies their girlfriend. Nobody would give me up with fingers and tongue, then I'd rather not have sex. After thinking about it for a long time, I won't use an implant for now and will try shock wave therapy, maybe something for a soft glans

What a ridiculous thing to say!

My guess is you will end up with an implant one day ;)

Although I am for the implant, I do not want you to go that route without being 100% convinced about it. Try shockwave and if any other treatment that can help, and if nothing works, then you won't regret getting an implant.

In case of an infection that requires the removal of the IPP, a malleable will be placed to keep the penis from shrinking and losing size.

What you describe is not a good fulfilling sex. Implant will solve that problem, you'll be able to confidently satisfy your sex partner and yourself every time you have an intercourse. You are in the prime age for sex, so there's really no point in delaying and awaiting something. The risk of infection is indeed there, but it is rather low. Yes, it is a one way street, the tissue which produce natural erection will get irrecoverably damaged, but what's the loss, if it does not work anyway?

Yes, I am at the best age for sex and my erection is firm, but I can only maintain a normal erection for a short time. Otherwise it's fine for back and forth, but the ladies aren't satisfied. I also have to say that my ligamentum suspensorium, the suspensory ligament, is severed. The penis is unstable, maybe that's why. But according to the urologist, I have a venous leak.
