Rear Tip Extender length

Does anyone know how common it is for RTE's of 6 cm or more to be used? I'm a little concerned that if rte's that large are used I may have issues with the tubing from the cylinders protruding from the base of my shaft (between bottom of penis and scrotum) causing difficulty during penetration. I've read of something similar happening to someone on this forum, I'm just not sure of all of the particulars to his situation. Also, I'm a bit concerned that I won't have as stable of a root or foundation from which my penis will be anchored because the RTE's don't inflate. I suppose I'm just getting a bit nervous as the big day approaches. Does anyone have any insight into these issues? I'd appreciate any input, thanks...

Most manufacturing sizing is done in 2 centimeter increments, meaning in most cases rear tip extenders are not over 2 centimeters. In the case of 26cm and 28 cm titan xl's there is a 3 centimeter rear tip provided. That would make an implant about 1 foot long, which must be very rare.

I guess I should have been clearer, I'm committed by circumstance to receiving an AMS implant, their max length is 21 cm. By estimating 30% of my external penis size as the length of my internal portion I would need an implant with a total length of roughly 27.3 cm, hence my question. Any thoughts? No, a Titan is not even an option so there is no sense bringing that suggestion to the table. Thanks all...

That is why the titan xl was created. Why can't your surgeon use it?

I can not use the Titan as they are not what is provided through the VA healthcare system. I agree that it would probably be a better fit but, my options are limited so I will make due with what is available to me. I did just speak with the AMS rep Elizabeth and she assured me that 6 cm rear tip extenders will be just fine.

If the Titan is a thought to you, I had conversations with the VA in Baltimore at which time I was
told that Dr. Kramer performs the Implants with the VA doctors there. Dr Kramer is a strong
supporter of the titan which from my understanding he would use the Titan at Baltimore's VA.

Not sure if the Titan was out of the question for you completely or because of the VA issue.
If it is not out of the question, you may want to contact Dr. Kramer.

I was under the impression that the AMS CX is available in a 24cm size as a special order. The 21cm LGX can expand in length roughly 18%, or to about 24 3/4cm. So, you should be able to get more than 27.3 with RTEs. The question will be whether you get enough rigidity at that length and with that many RTE's. I have read that doc's suggest the CX over the LGX at those longer lengths for better rigidity. And, of course, quite a few prefer the Titan XL cylinders instead for the same reason.
