Is Prostatitis common after penile implant surgery or rather rare?
I have had once Prostatitis and it was hell on earth but thank God it cleared but there are many cases where it stays chronic and causes chronic pain so thats why I am very afraid. Are there any stats or studies over this?
Venous like since I was 20 years old. Pills don't work too well. Thinking of implant in the future

I know I shouldn't. I've already had two surgeries on my prostate. I was given the all clear on my prostate before my PPI.

Re: Is Prostatitis common after penile implant surgery or rather rare?
I was diagnosed with BPH and had a very large prostate several months before my IPP. I was having problems emptying my bladder and going as many as 20 times a day. Also dealing with ED in a bad way during the same time.
At first I wanted to get the prostate fixed then get my IPP done, but the more I read about issues with having a TURP or any of the other surgeries that remove part of the prostate, the more I Faught against having the prostate surgery. I finally scheduled a TURP and then backed out 2 weeks before my surgery date. It was the same week I cancelled my TURP that I met with my IPP surgeon and decided to move on with an IPP.
I stopped drinking all carbonated drinks and very little coffee, and tea, lost 40 pounds and Drink tons of water and over a year or so my issues with BPH got much better. Within a couple months after cancelled my TURL I had my IPP installed and have never looked back. I’ve read on here where people had different prostate surgeries after having an ipp and apparently it doesn’t affect the ability to do the surgery. For now I’m good but who knows as time goes on I may have to do something with the prostate.
