Broken Titan?

Postby jwdetails » Thu Jun 27, 2024 11:35 am

Freaking out so seeking some advice. I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor in 2 weeks, but that seems like eternity. The wife and I have been having very regular sex (almost 1-2 times day) since my last implant. Two nights ago, it actually felt like something popped in the right cylinder towards the base of the penis and now there is new protrusion but only when the implant is deflated. I tried pumping it up again this morning and its not getting as firm as it usually does. No other weird sounds or anything - the pump just gets really hard after less than normal amount of pumps. It terms of rigidity maybe 75% of normal. Anyone have any experience with this sort of issue?

How is the left side, more rigid than the right? Does not sound like a leak as your pump gets hard, may be a kink in the tubing.

The left side is getting firmer than the right, but both cylinders not as firm as before - based on all my reading I'm suspicious for a leak somewhere maybe in the cylinder? But I've cycled the implant many times, almost 10 times since this incident and it still "Works" - not completely empty of fluid which is surprising if its really a leak.

Which of the Titan pumps do you have?

I had the Titan and if you had a leak then your pump will eventually go flat as all the fluid will have been pumped out, and you said your pump gets hard and you cannot pump no longer, left side is more firm than right side. Still sounds like a kink in the tubing blocking the fluid from the right side. My pump went flat after about 5 squeezes then it got less from there.

I've had two "break" and when they did so, they "stayed flat". No advice, just: Good Luck Man!!!

as an update, the pump is now flat. As suggested, I suspect a tubing fracture and leak. Have my upcoming appointment with the surgeon, not much I can do at this point but pray for the best for my next revision.

Sorry to hear about the pump, I have the same one.
Hopefully it's a tubing issue that can be repaired without removing the pump.

You might ask your surgeon if he recommends changing to a different pump than the Touch when you get the revision.
There are posts here about doctors preferring the earlier Genesis pump, and Dr Eid maybe using the Genesis now.
"Treetop" just had surgery with Dr Eid, you could ask him what pump he got and if Dr Eid discussed pumps at all.

Just met with surgeon yesterday. Unfortunately looks like air leak somewhere most likely from the pump tubing.

Deciding on getting a whole new implant vs. just changing out the pump for the classic pump per the doctors recommendations. Its been about 2.5 years since my last surgery.

Anyone have just the pump replaced? - how is the recovery?
